First all electric vehicle for me

I prefer top of line so I bought the limited edition. It has lots of bells and whistles but could have more for top luxury, for the price paid. It’s fast, drives fairly smooth, and looks great. It’s comfortable inside, has tons of room. Electric is a whole different experience for sure.

No more visit to gas station

It's fast and reliable. Gear selection is confusing at first but it will get used to soon Sounds system is good and android auto is great and built in navigation is useful as well screen is big and clear

Really nice care - looks great, runs great and it really moves!

There is a certain amount of adjustment to going to an EV, so be prepared for that when you buy one. Don't let it overwhelm you because once you've over that initial learning curve you'll never want to drive anything else. We have a Level 2 charger installed in our garage now and can charge it overnight when the rates are extremely low. We have yet to take it for a long road trip but I look forward to doing that in the near future. The Ioniq 5 and go to a full charge in just 20min so it's not a big deal time-wise. The styling of the car is top-notch - it's really a beautiful car (we love the matte finish in gray for color)! The controls are thoughtful and you have the option to use either the screen or button controls for the basic features which I personally like - sometimes it's just easier/faster to push a button instead of going to the screen. And I do love the acceleration! This car moves effortlessly! It's fun! The one change that I would make is to add a rear windshield wiper (we live in Oregon and it rains a lot here - all the cameras do help compensate for the lack of a rear wiper however). And I should also mention that with an EV there is NO MAINTENANCE EVER!! - just tires and window washing fluids!. The no maintenance coupled with State and Federal rebates add up to quite a savings over the lifetime of the EV. All and all I'm very satisfied with this car and I think it's an excellent vehicle!

Incredible

I purchased this vehicle 3 months ago, and have enjoyed it every minute since. Very attractive car: I constantly have people ask me about the car. Fun car: I have to watch myself and the speed limit! Very quick off the line and smooth on the road. I love the feeling of arrogance when I drive past gas stations! Well built, solid car.

Wanted something unique

The Ioniq 5 was able to fit my golf clubs and 4 people....no other sedan offers that feature. We owned a Hybrid Lexus years ago, this performs better and is currently extremely unique. I liked the staff at my dealership

Great car fun to drive

Love the styling and performance of the Ioniq5 Limited. Very comfortable car with great features and power. Love the fact that it has a sliding center console so you don't feel boxed in. You can easily get out from the passenger side like an old car with bench seats.

I have really enjoyed this vehicle so far.

Since this is my first electric vehicle, I was nervous about how to use and what it takes to keep it running. After a couple of months, the transition to electric has been almost flawless. The main challenge I have is finding more charging stations.

Vehicle is honestly amazing but i hate that they removed the grill lights on the SEL and doesn't give an option for the moon roof. Also i hate that the car is so expensive but no wireless carplay and bluelink isn't compatible with iPhones

The 2023 IONIQ 5 is a great Electric SUV

We decided to trade our very nice 2017 Chevy BOLT EV with 33,000 miles for a new 2023 Hyundai IONIC 5 Limited AWD after we test drove one at our local dealer. We immediately loved the advanced features, roominess, and performance of the EV, especially the Head-Up display, the large infotainment screens, large battery and all-wheel drive, and the powered lift gate. Controls were very easy to adapt to since we were already familiar with the operation of an electrical vehicle. The regenerative braking and one-pedal driving of the i-Drive feature was excellent. The IONIQ 5 was all that we had read about in the brochures, auto test videos, and Consumer Report evaluations.

Not very thrilled

I am disappointed with my purchase. I did not get any discount on this car, paid full dealer price options. I wish I had bought Chevrolet Bolt EUV for a decent price which I had ordered. Chevrolet Bolt is user friendly and easy to use, not my ioniq5

car's performance after 2000 miles exceeds what I had expected. The EV has different driving characteistics compared to conventionally powered cars; i especially appreciate that driving mode allows me to select from economy-oriented to high-performance styles of driving.

A few issues, but once resolved, it is a great car.

WE took delivery of our new Ioniq 5 and realized that it had some issues with what we thought were unbalanced wheels. We returned it to the dealership and they "fixed" the problem. Yet, a week later, we realized the same issues were still there--Vibrations over 60 mph and a moderate pulling of the car in either direction so that we had to hold the steering wheel quite aggressively to keep in lane. We took it back to the dealership, who gave us a loaner and handled the situation reasonably well. In two days, they were able to resolve the problems and now we are quite happy with our new vehicle. But shame on Hyundai for delivering a car with these issues! Imagine how happy we would have been if from the start it was issue-free as it is now?!

Solid EV

a few small quibbles (needs rear window wiper, physical buttons instead of capacitive for A/C controls), but nothing is a deal breaker. Looks great. Drives well. Battery and charging are top notch. Highly recommend!

Fantastic hot hatch with a lot of practicality

Great car! Super fast and fun to drive, with great tech. I love the design, and the interior is way bigger than it looks. Everything is laid out really well, so the car is very functional- it's efficient enough to be a daily commuter, but you can pack in a lot of people/dogs/gear for family outings. I'm very happy with it- it manages to do everything well, and a few things amazingly well.

Favorite car I've ever owned

This car had a unique look I love, is beyond comfortable, feels very well built and is a blast to drive. I feel happy everytime I get in the car. It makes driving enjoyable, whether that be my commute or driving the kids around.

Great car, smooth, easy to drive and very responsive

This is a great option to enter the EV market. It has all the safety features you could ask for. Very fast and responsive. Has good range at close to 300 miles per charge. Charges quickly and less expensive to operate than a gas model. Only had it a short time but I’d definitely give it an A+.

Unexpected Love

Went in to buy a Kona EV and fell in love with the Ioniq EV in the showroom. The matte paint caught my eye, but the test drive sealed the deal. Highly recommend anyone in the market for an EV consider the Ioniq. I look forward to driving it every day and have had endless people approaching me to ask about it and tell me how pretty it is. It’s the most expensive car I’ve ever bought, but it’s been worth every penny.

This or Model Y, Each Have Pros and Cons

I think this is a cool car and was drawn to the unique features like the Vehicle to Load charging. After purchasing, I am a bit disappointed but guess that I would have had different disappointments going with the Model Y. Its a very expensive car that still has some low-end finishes and quirks to work out. Beautiful tho!
