All around great EV

Not too huge and tall, but plenty of interior room and very comfortable. Great commuter vehicle and extremely quiet in the cabin. Plenty of power when you want it too.

Great Value EV

The lease deal on this Ioniq 5 was the best thing going in 2023; the free Electrify America charging made it even more so. It's fun to drive, quick to charge, and has great features comparable to significantly more expensive vehicles. As with many EV's, the range is significantly overestimated for real world use. My only real complaint is the incomprehensible omission of CarPlay to integrate iPhone use with the otherwise great user interface. I would have appreciated CarPlay especially for GPS navigation because the built-in system often recommended significantly longer or less efficient routes compared to Apple Maps.

I love my ioniq5

The buggy ICCU problem continues even after almost 3 years. This defect should have been resolved by now. And the design team royally screwed up when they didn’t add a rear window wiper.

Smooth ride, beautiful vehicle

I love almost everything about my Ioniq 5. It looks great, drives great, and is super comfy on the inside. Good speaker quality, great physical buttons, nice feature set all around. I have only two complaints, one is that when autosteer stops steering it gives me no warning in most cases, or little warning in some cases. The other complaint is that it tries too hard to control my behavior. For example, if I want to leave the car on, a small warning is appropriate, but not a long blaring sound combined with not letting me lock the doors. That goes beyond a friendly warning and moves into an imposition, an attempt to control my behavior in a way that is not its right. I might have a good reason for leaving it on in utility mode while I'm gone. What if my dog is in the car? What about equipment I want to keep cool or warm while I'm away from the car for a bit?

Great Car…when it works.

I like the car but this model year in particular has a bad reputation for faults and the resale value is atrocious. I am currently totally upside down financially and I can’t get rid of it without writing a check. The reputation seems to be warranted as well. We had a fault that kept ours at the dealer for well over a month.

ICCU replacement

The vehicle was great for 2.5 years then the ICCU part failed and the first ordered part arrived damaged and the second come useable. The vehicle was not useable for more than 8 weeks.

Great EV

I have the middle SEL model. It has the technology that my previous luxury car had with the same ride and road quality as well. The cost to charge the battery has been about half of buying gas and I don’t have to change engine oil.

Well executed, but needs improvement

Overall a pleasure to drive; however: Insufficient range - about half of what I want. Lacks rear window wiper. Integration with Apple CarPlay not as seamless or consistent as it should be. Never qualified for federal tax credit. Some trim components underwhelm.
