I would have assigned a five-star rating if not for the ICCU.

The vehicle offers commendable performance and an impressive range, complemented by a robust suite of features, with the exception of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. A significant concern, however, pertains to the reported issues with the Integrated Charging Control Unit (ICCU) and the 12-volt battery.

The battery cannot handle extreme cold weather. I moved to Michigan a year after I purchased my vehicle in Las Vegas, Nevada. The battery could not handle the cold.

Great car in so many ways, but I do miss my old Audi(s) a little.

The tech makes it a joy to drive. This a spacious, and comfortable car. The interior is nice, but it lacks the refinement of an Audi. All in all, it is a phenomenal value, but I wish the handling was a little better.

Needs a rear windshield wiper. It's dangerous without it. I know they fixed this on the 2025, but I'm still pretty pissed I don't have one on the 2024. Otherwise I'm a fan.

Comfortable Ride worries over ICCU

Wonderful car, super comfortable and easy to drive. ICCU concerns made us turn it in. Also lack of rear wiper. Level 1 charging stopped working early on and dealership was unwilling to give a loaner for “up to 2 to 3 weeks” to fix. So continued with Level 2 charging at home. Loved the car but won't get another until charging issues are resolved

Overall, I love this car. But the absence of a back rear windshield wiper is a big negative. Also, the tires do not handle all that well in snow. Sometimes when the heater is on full blast, there's a blast of cold air - even though the car is plenty warmed up.

1st EV; 1st Hyundai

Mostly good-to-very-good . My wife and I use our (leased) Ioniq 5 for local driving only. We re-charge with a 110 cord every night. Easy. It developed a tail gate rattle - service took care of that and explained the issue (a known problem) and how to cope. It's too early (only 11K miles ) to be asking me about reliability. .

The vehicle is fast and fun to drive. The paint quality is poor and swirls very easily. The rear trunk is noisy over bumps even after the recall.

Love this car but not the 12v battery

I love everything about this vehicle. I love how smooth and quiet she drives. I love the pickup, the snow mode and the I pedal. The only thing I don’t love is the 12 V battery. My died at just over 1 year of owning this car. I was able to jump it and get it to my Hyundai dealer for a replacement but it was frustrating that it happened at all.

Great overall, but some issues are present

We really enjoy driving this car overall. It is fast, solid and comfortable. It does great in the snow, and is the beset car I've ever used for mountain driving. (I live in Colorado). Large back seat, adults actually like. Panoramic roof is super. The digital interface is an 8/10. One wish is that it would stay in the view that you left it when you turn the car off, but not the case. One downside is charging - while it is nice and fast, it can be tricky and confusing to get it started. I have also had a couple of times where I could not stop charging session, and had to use the door-unlock key on the car FOB to stop the session. Last, yes, I have the trunk latch rattle that many have experienced.
