Great car other than some electrical issues and poor dashboard UI

Great car in most respects, with only issues being some random electrical issues resulting in charging stopping unexpectedly and other rarer minor glitches. Main design pet peev is that the dashboard display is badly designed such that your speed is displayed off to the side and hidden by steering wheel vs the empty centered area.

I never knew that I could love a car

I never knew that I could love a car. I have always viewed cars as just the thing that gets you from here to there, and I never really thought about them as anything other than a very useful tool in life. That changed two years ago when we got the Ioniq5. I am still amazed at what a pleasure it is to go anywhere in this car. I love everything about it -- the comfort, the quiet, the ride. It has changed my thought of what a car can be.

Experienced too many problems

I experienced too many problems in the 1st 2 years. 3 batteries, 2 Control unit. 1 head display unit and over 40 days in the shop. I love Hyundai cars but I have lost confidence in mine

Auxiliary battery dying

The auxiliary battery has died repeatedly, most recently yesterday. I now carry a portable charger to get the car started and it tends to be fine for a while. I've had it serviced by two different dealerships, one that made some changes, and the second informed me they couldn’t find any problems.

My hyundai Ioniq 5 Review 9_25

Overall, I have been happy with the vehicle. I have had two problems, one which persists. The charging unit failed so that I had to be towed and experienced a $130 Uber charge to get home. I was without the vehicle for two months during which time I had a gas rental vehicle provided by the dealer. The car has been working fine since I got it back. The second problem is a persistent rattle in the bask of the vehicle. I had the recommended repairs made but it is actually worse now than it was before. I plan to bring it to the attention of the technicians at my next service. Otherwise the car is doing fine.

Hyundai 2023 Ioniq 5 Limited- Bought Used-10 Month Review

An excellent vehicle but I will never be fully confident of it until the ICCU issue is resolved and explained. Mine spend 6 weeks at the dealer waiting for the ICCU replacement parts and was repaired free under warranty. It has been fine since but I do not have complete confidence in its reliability but the good warranty helps.
