Absolutely loved that car, transmission went after 40,000 miles

Perhaps a lemon, but cannot recommend a car where the transmission fails in less than two years.

The hybrid is great overall, but highway MPG is well below advertised

i really like a lot about this car. It's the perfect size, is very good looking and well designed. It offers many features for a price well below Toyota. The ride is quiet too, which is unique among small the SUVs I found among those with good Consumer Reports reliability ratings. The reason for three stars is that MPG is a very high priority for me and one of the main reasons I chose this car. I commute on the interstate and my highway MPG at 70-75 mph is about 30 MPG (when I'm luck) and an overall MPG of 32 putting it well below advertised and rendering its small gas tank an issue as I have to fill up every three days. Now I'm wondering whether I should have gotten the Rav4...

2023 Tucson

A few things I am disappointed in. The rear speakers have very little volume. I had it serviced and had them look into it. They came back to me, well that is how it is. They compared my Tucson to others they had on the lot and they all did the same thing. :( If I have my volume set and go to 100% front speakers I hear everything perfect but when I switch to 100% rear speakers to volume drops drastically to the point you can barely hear it. Also disappointed that on a hybrid model you lose some of the wireless connectivity with you cell phone. It works on the gas models but not the hybrid models. :(

Too much beeping

I like the look of the Tucson. It handles well and it's comfortable. But they haven't gotten the technology right. It tells me about school zones when school is out. If I go regular speed in the school zone, it beeps aggressively. If a seatbelt is not fastened before putting it into drive, it beeps aggressively. If you are driving in traffic on the highway, it will beep for various reasons, some communicated and some not. I have an auditory processing disorder and the beeping gives me anxiety. The anxiety causes me to drive distracted and it puts me in a bad mood for the duration of my drive, sometimes longer. I've asked the dealer and spent time online trying to figure out how to change settings, with very limited success.

Decent vehicle for the price

Overall a good vehicle. Easy to drive and reliable but the display screen is hard to operate as are the buttons on the steering wheel. The display resets on its own. The mechanical aspect is great but not the electronics.

I think it is great!

My 2023 Tucson is comfortable, safe and also very economical. There is plenty of space for my golf clubs or skis.as well as luggage when we travel. The drivers console is well positioned and the ease to change the information displayed makes driving much easier.

Did a great deal of research on my potential purchases. This one best out the Toyota RAV4. It has so many features# When this car was totaled less than a year into ownership, I bought a new 2024 just like it.

Big disappointment

The first issue was, they never gave me the actual sticker showing the price of my car and the accessories. I asked for it several times even wrote a certified letter and they did not respond at the local dealership. I finally went in and said I was going to sit there till they gave it to me. They sent me one with a different VIN number in a different color with different accessories in the car I actually purchased. Other issues were the gas mileage was nowhere what it should’ve been and I was told I needed to drive 5000 miles and then it would be what it was, I drove 5000 miles. It still did not show the mileage that was advertised when we purchased it and now I have driven 11,000 miles and it still is not at the advertised Mileage for the hybrid. Other issues is that the service department took my car for overnight servicing and never called me to tell me it was finished. I called them three times and no one called me back in three days. I would not recommend buying any car from this manufacturer.

Love the SUV. 35 mpg since I bought it new. Only problem was a bad rear shock absorber which made it ride poorly over bumps and on rough roads. Took 11 weeks to replace, which was terrible. 2 Weeks for the part and a 9- week wait for the repair. Not happy about that

Reliable commuter vehicle with plenty of features

Reliable commuter vehicle with plenty of storage for tools. For the price it had a number of extra features over its competitors. I liked it so much that when my wife needed a new vehicle, we purchased a Hyundai Kona. It is a comfortable ride with decent performance. The hybrid motor is getting excellent mileage at 37.5 mpg.
