tucson hybrid 23 Limited

The car is nice, look the exterior design. Interior is comfortable. Easy to operate display. Gas mileage can be excellent (especially in NYC) but the battery isn't as good on the highway. The MPG is all about HOW you drive... too fast no battery, low MPG.... overall it's a solid car.

Love it. Every passenger praised it way over what the bought

Love it except, unusable mug and thermos holders especially on the doors. Unable to open or close garage door without engine on. I’m short…. It would be nice if seat went back and down all the way entering and leaving. Radio controls with knobs. Accessories like full size front door sun screens. Bigger pockets on doors and center council.

MPG Lousy for Hybrid

Vehicle is great except the gas mileage. I feel i could achieve similar MPG with a non-hybrid version of the Tucson.

Handling is smooth. Quit cabin with quite a bit more legroom in the rear seats. Large infotainment screen. Excellent safety.

Good vehicle for the money, with great speed and agility.

I chose this car due to the fuel economy and the speed combined. The car has a lot of power for a hybrid, and small SUV. I wish there was a bigger option, that had this kind of acceleration and mpg, but more storage. At the price point, this was a good option. At the same time, there are some safety features that make the car challenging to drive, and I wish I could disable. The collision warnings actually stop the car at times when I might need to speed up to have control of the car, and that makes it very dangerous. Also, there have been many times that I have tried to shift gears in a hurry, and think I have done so, but the car stays in the same gear, or refuses to go into reverse because it senses something behind me. If you are trying to turn around quickly, this can be scary if cars are coming, and you don't know why the car is not going, or is going in the opposite direction of what you intended when the gears don't shift. I will not buy another car with gears that shift with push buttons.

A Gem Amongst the Stones

Our Tucson has thus far been as good or better than previous new vehicles we purchased from Chevrolets to BMWs. It feels comfortable, safe and as a Hybrid, very economical. The popularity of the model fits our needs as older folks no longer needing to make a statement; it does what we want.

When reverse is selected, the vehicle sounds an alert, even though the vehicle is not yet in reverse gear, and it makes a second, distinct sound when it is, in fact, in gear. The first alert causes me to believe I am in gear and to release the foot brake even though reverse is not yet available. This is dangerous and annoying and should be corrected. This issue aside, the use of the vehicles systems is intuitive and the vehicle a pleasure to operate and to own.

Nice ride, too much technology dictates, interrupts driving pleasure,

Promised mpg in cold weather is no where near promised mpg. Weather needs to be warm, above 70, to get promised 38-40 mpg. Shockingly scary when cruise control slams on brakes even as traffic ahead exits lane several car lengths ahead. Warning signal announces possible icy road conditions when temperature is specifically 39 degrees. Water does NOT freeze at 39 degrees ! But, NO warning when temperature is 26-28 degrees, when water on road DOES freeze. Car door's lock even when I'm parked in my garage, garage door closed, Tucson can't be moved forward or backward, I'm home ready to unload groceries, needing to get into back seat for more groceries. I then need to press button on fob in pocket or grab front door handle to unlock the backdoor. Very inconvenient ! Lane assist moves steering wheel as it reads crosswalks or turning lanes while I'm still going straight.
