Disappointed with my Hyundai Tuscon

I was excited about the Tucson Hybrid model. Shocks went bad 3x already and ride is rough.

Almost

Got this vehicle for “road trips” and it fulfills that role well. Good MPG. Comfortable. Enough room. Where it falls behind is the tech and GPS. Just too unintuitive and just too many menus. After 2 years, still need to search online for how to do something that should be more obvious. The GPS navigation works but chooses strange routes at times, like asking for a freeway exit only to have re-entry at the same intersection. Finally, the phantom draining of the battery forcing a manual key entry and system reset is baffling. There should be a firmware fix for this by now. I’d recommend this vehicle but tell perspective owners to be aware of the above.

Great commuter.

Great vehicle to go back and forth to town from a rural mountain location, except in deep snow (not quite enough clearance). Greatest mpg vehicle we’ve ever owned.

One of the best vehicles for the money. Unfortunately the gas mileage is not as high as advertised. Could use a little more head room for taller people. Love the way it handles.

Very Nice Hybrid SUV

The 2023 Tucson Hybrid is a really nice vehicle. With more than 29,000 miles on it now, this mid-size SUV has performed above expectations. Around town mileage is between 36 mpg and 40 mpg. Highway mileage is between 34 mpg and 36 mpg. The car is comfortable, roomy, has good handling, better than expected acceleration, an impressive sound system, and a really nice screen. The only complaint, if I can even call it a complaint, is the limited towing capability. I also really like the front running lights.

I really like my HEV Tuscon. It's quick and reliable. The only things I would like to see changed are the back-up alarm and easier media/screen/gps set-up.

Love the car, hate the paint

Mechanically, it's great. But the look/cosmetics is awful. The paint is splotchy and fading. The leather is stained and cracking. It's two years old.

Great car - has all the bells and whistles

This is my first new car and so happy as it has a lot of features that I didn’t have before such as automatic stop if something comes dashing behind or in front of the car. Beeping when going in reverse, a large screen, has car play - and has remote start from key and the app. If I am left in a tight parking spot I can start and have the car back out. Oh, it is a hybrid so I save on gas. The only feature I would like is auto-folding of the side mirrors as I have double parking to squeeze by often. Regardless, I open my window and pull in the window.

Of my previous 4 Hyundais this is the best & most fun to drive

In 2021 & 2022 we purchased 2 Santa Fe awds. Drove them trouble free for 20 years. In 2021 we brought home our new IONIQ hybrid and in 2023 we became proud owners of our new Tucson hev. Why? Reliability, comfort, performance and maintained value for our investment.

2023 Hyundai Tuscon

I love how it rides on the WV back roads and the bells and whistles that I have not had with any previous vehicles. I like the gas mileage, but it does not get what I thought that it would. It is advertised as 34-38. I am averaging about 31.5 since I bought the vehicle. Overall, I love the car.

Beautiful, comfortable and fuel efficient

Went looking for a Santa Fe to replace our 19 year old model and left with the Tucson hybrid! Sporty, luxurious and fuel efficient. My only complaint is that the acceleration responsiveness can sometimes be a bit delayed when braking then quickly accelerating. My research suggests that it has to do with the regenerative brake system in hybrids. It’s an adjustment, but not a deal breaker. Other than that, we love the car.
