Phenomenal electric vehicle with unresolved charging issues

This car is fundamentally a tour de force. Extremely fast charging is a huge plus. The range of comfort features in my top of the line model is impressive, including a bevy of safety sensors, speed-sensitive cruise control, heated and cooled front seats and a ton more. The car is extremely fast, and has excellent four wheel drive. My problem has been with repeated dead 12V battery.

My car

Mostly this car is nice to drive. It is very comfortable and the safety features come in handy. My only issue is the brakes. Early on I had some clicking noises and now, every now and again they freeze up. Other than that - no complaints.

We love driving our “Spaceship”

Our car is everything we hoped it would be. It is comfortable for every member of our family from our 6’6” son-in-law to our granddaughter in her car seat who dubbed it our “spaceship”. If the roof is closed ( only during summer heat), she always asks me to open up her sky. We love road trips and this car keeps the fun and comfort in long journeys. Making charging stops is relaxing and allows us time to stretch our legs and walk the dog.

Fun to drive, but need some major improvements

Fun vechile to drive, but has made learning curve too high. Too nany buttons with not needed functionality, or too many dummy buttons. Too much information all around, but important information ishard to find. Example, battery, and mileage remaining are at 2 seperate corners of screen. Don't make sense. Speed and speed limit are so far apart, don't make sense. Power and regen graphics are so big and completey wasteful space. Need organization of dashboard.Need to bring GPS from main screen to dashboard. When temprature is changed, need to show that info clearly on dashboard. So many buttons, but if I have to take my eyes away from road to use them, how are they better than a touch screen.

12 Volt Battery

My only issue has been with the 12 Volt Battery. Having the 12 Volt battery only last less than 2 years was disappointing.

We love this car but 12V battery didn’t last

We really love most everything about this car. However, the 12V battery died after just over a year. That seemed pretty bad to me.

Space-aged Comfort

My 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is comfortable, gets me everywhere I need to go in a week on one charge, has great tech features, and is super zippy in sport mode. Most of all, I love that I don't have to look at gas prices anymore!

So glad my first EV was an Ioniq 5

Was in the market for a great fuel efficient car after having a hybrid for 10 years. Realized with the infrastructure getting better I started to read watch EVs. I loved the space and layout of the interior and the futuristic look of the exterior of the Ioniq 5. Also liked the traditional features as opposed to the minimalistic feel.

A great first EV

The Ioniq 5 is an excellent car! The technology was easy to use, very responsive, and customizable. The car charges extremely fast and the performance was awesome. I will only buy EVs from now on, very low maintenance, very low cost to charge, a huge time saver when you charge at home, it didn't limit by ability to travel within the state or across the midwest.

Beautifull design.

On my own experience this the best car a buying, perfect elegance and performance the only problem on this model is don't have a clean windshield on the back, and on raining days have a problem with this, but in general all its perfect on this model.
