1st Adult Car

I drove a 2013 and 2016 Hyundai Genesis Coupe for 11 years, those cars brought me so much joy, pure fun to drive. I decided it was time for a big girl car, so selected the 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Ltd. It was a big change and I have not regretted it, I love all the creature comforts and safety features. It is not the fast and sporty Genesis coupe, but a comfortable, easy driving car. It has now become our road trip car, holds a lot of luggage and gear.

My Silver Hyundai tuscon Blue

Bought new. Delivered to house. Went to get gas, there was grass clipping in the door of the gas tank, and certain places in car. It was obvious it wasn’t thoroughly cleaned before delivery.Using windshield wipers, drivers side is split-going to the dealer to have it replaced. Still trying to figure out all the features of the car.

UNSATISFACTORY HYBRID PERFORMANCE

I have not obtained any average mileage over 33.5 since owning the vehicle. I have advised the Service department and they claim all appears in order. City and highway driving results in average MPG of 33.4 - 33.7 MPG = UNSATISFACTORY!

Great overall experience

Best vehicle purchase in a very long time! Fuel efficiency is best ever; typically 35 to 38 mpg with maximum for a full up of 39 mpg. Ride is smooth and well controlled; interior sound is very quiet very little road or engine noise. I love its looks! I really like the large moon roof!

Great car few quirks

I bought this car with 5100 miles on it although I should’ve asked for a new warranty I did get the warranty that will last me 10 years 100,000 miles however it is a 2024 and they didn’t give me the maintenance warranty which was Kind of a shady deal on that the amount of room in there is great legroom I have driven to Florida, North Carolina and Tennessee very comfortable ride inside, especially even with my Shepherd and everything that I have taken with us styling is great

Horrible gas miles, fake advertising. Don't buy it.

It is so disappointing to buy a expensive hybrid with any possible features and get less miles per gallon than the no hybrid Tucson, and the company always said the car was in perfect condition and they can not do anything to improve it because it was not a problem. The car does 24 gallons per mile instead of the 37 that I expected.

I love this car

I really like all the cameras. It makes parking easy. The lane assist is so helpful on long trips. The bright lights are smart lights. They turn themselves off and on depending on the traffic traveling in the opposite direction.

Rides and accelerates well BUT my gas mileage on Hybrid is disappointing, no where near 37 mpg advertised. Highway mileage worst. Lots of good features, especially safety. Right size vehicle for my needs.

sever brake problem

Driving at 50 mph in the center lane of a three lane US highway bumper to bumper traffic when suddenly the brakes activated bringing me down to a almost a dead stop I was able to get over by pumping the brake pedal, and gas pedal at the same time. I was very lucky to not to be rear ended, or in a serious accident. Was told to call Hyundai road side assistance to be towed to Honda dealership in Naples Fl. Technician at dealership said cause was defective brake module. It took 2 weeks to get the part shipped to the dealership. Meanwhile they had no loaner cars, and was told to rent a car which Hyundai would reimburse. At the end Hyundai main office failed to reimburse rental cost, however the Dealership did.

Very good looking vehicle.

Very safe vehicle. Sharp looking and great options. Decent gas mileage, but not close to maximum expected gas mileage potential. Nice quiet inside cab. Not a fan of the reverse beep option. A little annoying. Overall great vehicle.

It’s a great vehicle my second one!! I owned a 2022 Tucson drove for three years and traded it in for my Tucson hybrid limited. Which is a great upgrade from my 2022 Tucson. Major difference in a lot of things.

2024 Tuscon hybrid

It rides smooth. Comforter me as the driver. Just disappointed in the gas mileage. I bought for long trips because of the claimed gas mileage but it gets poor mileage on long drives it gets very poor mileage. Most of my trips are freeways with cruise control and that is when my gas mileage is the worst.

Very nice vehicle. Doesn't get the fuel economy advertised but it's very comfortable and fun to drive. Lots of great features, very good value for the money. Small imperfections but no car is perfect.

My Tuscon is a smooth and quiet car. It is also roomy. While the programming of the added features can be a little overwhelming, the features do cover the basics and so many extra safety and comfort features.

Good vehicle but disappointing with the sale team after the sale

I was told my 2024 Tucson Hybrid SEL, purchased 3/6/25, has wireless Apple CarPlay (my # 1 requirement) but could not connect wirelessly. I spent more than a week making multiple calls and messages to sale person and dealer’s management for help but got responses except “will look into it”. Still waiting for a call back as of today 3/19/5. I’m 2 hrs away and don’t have the time to drive there.

2024 Tucson Hybrid

The Tucson has a lot of sculptured body lines that most find pleasing. The interior has room for five adults plus class leading luggage capacity. The ride is comfortable and quiet and can be very zesty in response to the throttle. The first 7,000 miles, while being driven very tenderly, it has yielded 39.4 MPG.

If you're not getting 37mpg then it's because you're not driving in a fuel-efficient manner

First, I feel I must address the several complaints about poor fuel mileage. Unless there is something wrong with your particular vehicle, you can achieve 37 mpg if you drive moderately. For example, if I'm driving 60-65 on are relatively flat road, my car switches to battery only in ECO mode. Also, it will stay in battery from a stop light and going up a hill if you're not in a hurry. I regularly get 33-34 mpg which is way better than my BMW X3 at 26mpg. Plus, for me the best part of the HEV is the increased HP w/o the excessive fuel consumption. Remember the 2024 Tucson 226 HP and 258 lb-ft torque. 0-60 in 7.7 seconds. Like my Tucson a lot.
