great EV

I am at about 29,000 miles on my 2024 Ioniq 5 SEL AWD. It has been great. There was a faulty ultrasonic sensor that was replaced free of charge otherwise no problem. A joy to drive. My only improvement would be a rear wiper that the 2025 does have. My first EV and I would buy this same car again. It was a very easy transition from an internal combustion engine vehicle and I had some of the best.

Proximity warning light

The alarm is inconsistent when approaching a vehicle in front while stationary. The center light comes on, and sometimes the side lights come on.

Hyundai is the best

I love driving my 2024 Ioniq 5. I wish I had the 2025 but whatcha gonna do? Plenty to critique, but overall this car is a real, modern, comfortable crossover which just happens to be 100% electric. With the Tesla adapter/2025, the Ioniq 5 is the kind of vehicle that will bring EVs into the mainstream. Well done!

Great car, smooth ride

Pet peeves. Song title is too faded and too small. Irritates me everyday. There shouldn't be space between front seats. One of the few cars that have that much room for things to roll back and forth and lack of storage.

Decent Small Car

Performs well, easy to charge, low maintenance, and has good enough range for local driving. Like all electric cars, it is ill-suited to long road drips. Being heavy for its size, it also chews up the epoxy coating of my garage floor.

Car has been good.

I really enjoy the car and feel it drives very well. I am very happy with the car and appreciate many of the features. The only things I feel could be better on the car are: Upgrade or change how the rear hatch is opened when not using the handle. As it stands right now, sometimes the hatch will open when you walk towards the car with your key in your pocket and other times it won’t sometimes you don’t want it to open and it does anyway. It would be nice if the main screen could be modified to reflect the speed in the center of the screen rather than the current options.

The Ioniq5 has been flawless over my first year of ownership. Longer range than advertised, rapid charging. A far cry from my 2013 Nissan Leaf.
