The best fun car I have owned.

Great car! Handles, responds, drives like dream. The only complaint is the rear window design, which literally "attracts" road dirt and has no rear wiper. The other is the existence of the ubiquitous rear "noise", "rattle" that avoids detection.

My First EV

This is my first EV car. I leased it to try it out! For the most part it, the car has not disappointed. After getting over the fear of running out of electric, the IONIC 5 has met most of my expectations for a new car electric or not. I wish the rear window had a windshield wiper. Also, when there are passengers in the back seat they have complained about being hot when the air conditioning running. Obviously, the higher you turn up the air conditioning the less miles you get on your trip. Otherwise, I really love the car. I do wish it had another 100 mile range so when I drive 450 highway miles I would not have to stop twice to charge.

This car is well designed inside and out. It is dependable and fun to drive. The owner's manual could be more straightforward and easier to comprehend when trying to ascertain "how to" do or change certain functions and settings.

Car is good. However the 2 year maintenance is a joke.

Limited on charging stations. Customer service is terrible. Been waiting 9 months for the NACS adapter for being able to charge at Tesla charging stations.

A great economic and performance experience!

The Ionic 5 performs at a higher level in several ways than its competitors. The technology affords the control of all systems very easily and efficiently. The vehicle’s performance is superior and very economical at the same time! The interior is spacious and accommodating in all situations! The monitoring by the integrated system is comprehensive. The Ioniq 5 is a pleasure to drive and own too!

Very good, but could be great

Some missing features keep this from being 5 stars. 1. No rear window wiper 2. Inadequate ventilation on driver's left side - blocked by steering wheel 3. No passenger air vents in back seat (removed between 2023 and 2024 year models). It's more than stuffy back there.

really good vehicle, styling is ok

Have had this car for almost 2 years. No major problems. Did have one issue with the glass above the windshield, but that wasn't the cars fault. A rock shattered the glass below the roof, but above the windshield while on the freeway. Charging speed is good. have used for several long road trips. Home charging is very easy with installed home charger. Reliability is good. Have yet to have it breakdown. Do like there are buttons for climate and some other features as opposed to only touchscreen.

Great vehicle some silly omissions

It’s hard to beat this vehicle in terms of the overall driving experience in town or on road trips. However there are also some silly omissions given the SEL is the second highest trim. No rear AC outlets and rear window wipers are the most blatantly indefensible.
