Not getting the mileage promised

The car is comfortable and quiet, but I am not getting the 38 mpg promised. I was getting decent mileage (around 35 mpg overall) but had a problem with the transmission, which was replaced under warranty. However, since the new transmission was installed, my average mileage has gone to below 30 mpg.

Almost 5 stars

Adults for comfortably in the front and back seats. I wish the steering feature turned itself on automatically as in the 2020 Palisade. I dislike the back up sound.

Very happy ! A couple things I wish were slightly different.

Overall, this is a great car that has a very comfortable driver's seat, is spacious for passengers, and has a lot of room in the back for groceries, luggage, etc. I like the visibility I have on the interstate and that it has good acceleration when needed. I do absolutely hate the vey loud back up signal and am not sure why I did not notice this when test driving it. I find it rude and obtrusive in my quiet neighborhood and embarrassing in parking lots. I understand the need for some kind of noise for the safety of others because it is almost silent when in electric mode, but it does not need to be so ridiculously loud. This care also does not have the best visibility when backing up.

Great car, could be improved

No one warns you that the car beeps very loudly when backing up. Also not mentioned when purchasing the car, gas mileage will drop significantly when its cold outside. If I lived in a climate that had more than 3 months of cold weather, I would not have purchased this car. The app to start your car only works half the time, despite the notification that your remote start was “successful”. I did have a significant issue with mine where the airbag lights came on, my dealership couldn’t get me in for 2 weeks, but could not confirm whether or not the airbags would deploy if I was in an accident. They also refused to offer me a loaner car until my appointment date. Last complaint is that the lock button does not work when the driver door is open. I like to lock my car as I am getting out so I know its done, have always done this on previous cars but this one will not let me. Other than the above items, its a great car. Its sleek, fast, and relatively reliable.
