Overall I am happy with the car, but see below re: a disappointment.
Overall, I am happy with the car. The ride is very smooth, the electronics are impressive, and the safety features, diverse. The engine is smaller than my previous car; I knew that buying this Tuscon. Around town it is no problem, but I will be interested in seeing how it responds to the acceleration needed on major hills and mountain passes. I have one major disappointment and that is the 130 lb limit in the rear or the car. I was not aware of it when I made my purchase---it wasn't something that I would have checked out. My previous car (Equinox) was made with an extremely sturdy material covering, and what seemed to be a weight distribution design. The rear weight limit on my Tuscon and the thin covering over the spare tire now require me to find ways to reinforce the area and decentralize the weight. This will especially be needed when packing for camping trips that require an extensive amount of cargo.
