Enhancements Needed

I had to replace my transmission before the car was a year old. It took 3 visits to Jim Ellis to diagnose the problem and then a month for them to get a replacement transmission. Communication from them was poor. Display options need serious work. Navigation is often erroneous. Features don’t work like calendar and sports. Take them off if not available. No wireless Apple Car Play is a huge flaw in 2025.

A few changes would make it perfect!

While I almost love my Tucson, I feel there are some changes that could make it better. The stop/start feature is a pain and I absolutely hate it! There should be a way to permanently disable this feature. Also, there is so much confusion as to the maintenance schedule on this vehicle. This needs to be standardized! Lastly, there are so many "nooks and crannies" on the back that it makes it very difficult to wash! As a bonus, I would love to have a cooling feature on the seats and steering wheel for the hot summers.

Bad smelling Air conditioning otherwise nice car

Air Conditioning gives foul rotten smell after 4 months of buying the vehicle. Went to the dealership 3 times but they could not fix the issue. Other than this issue everything is going smoothly so far.

I am not happy with it.

I was told that the four cylinder had more power than the V-6. I am not happy with the four cylinder. I now wish I would have bought another SantaFe with a V-6. I could have used the extra power and space. I also do not feel it is as comfortable driving as the SantaFe.

It is an okay car perhaps little pricy

Although built for off road, I don’t feel safe driving it outdoors. No protection under the car, underpowered for the size. Also gas consumption is really bad.

Underpowered

A larger engine option would be great. When immediate acceleration is needed the transmission will downshift several gears and nearly redline the engine and accomplish no acceleration at all. This could be dangerous in some instances.
