Pretty good vehicle

gets decent gas milage, drives good, adjust cruise control and lane assist are great, except for the aggressive braking when vehicle in front slows down, instead of gradual slowdown in comparison to car in front

The Tucson is a nice vehicle, while driving around the city limits the noise level is ok, when traveling down the interstate the noise is very high and no way to stop it as all windows are up and secure.

My Hyundai is reliable and has everything I need to get to my destination! It even has amenities that high end cars have. I never have to worry about my car not starting or basic worries other vehicles may cause.

Hyundai service has been terrible

* Car purchased new June 2023 * Brakes started shaking within a couple months of owning the vehicle. Technical Service Bulletin for the rotors was put out by Hyundai but I only found out through a local mechanic shop (not Hyundai). Rotors were machined 2024 - not replaced. Brake pads were not included in the repair despite the bad rotors causing uneven wear on the pads. My brakes are now starting to shake again. * Door seal on passenger door was stretched and hanging. Took about 4 months to finally get it replaced. The dealer closest to me had my car for 3 days while they "diagnosed" the problem, but they hadn't even looked at my car after the 3 days of sitting in their service dept. I told the shop I needed my car back and when they brought it to me the window was wide open and there was snow inside my car. I ended up taking it to another dealer who "diagnosed" it within 5 minutes. They ordered the part to repair under warranty. They did not order the correct part and had to re order it. The day before the second repair appointment with the newly ordered parts, the shop texted me and said my appointment was canceled because the dealership was closing. I had to make ANOTHER appointment at the first dealership to finally get the repair completed. * Apple car play not working correctly. My radio will be turned completely off with my phone sitting in the console and my radio will randomly turn on. And they say the problem must duplicate while it their shop. I asked if they could just do a software update and I was told the car would need to be dropped off to be "diagnosed" despite the Hyundai phone reps telling me the software is out of date. My blue link no longer works (likely because of the software issue). Keep in mind the car only 2 years old. And dropping my car off just puts it in their queue and it could be days before it's actually looked at. Meanwhile the car is still drivable. I would be happy to make an appointment for a day that I don't need my car if they could tell me it would be diagnosed that day. *Drivers seat is cracking on the left side of the seat where it curves up around your leg. I haven't wanted to schedule this repair as my other experiences have been terrible. This is the first brand new car I have purchased and I am regretting every bit of it.

It’s fine.

Overall it’s fine considering the price compared to other SUVs on the market. The leg room in the backseat is spacious, the large screen is nice and responsive, it has the ability to practically drive itself, and the button to open and close the trunk is useful. But I have some complaints that make this car just okay. 1. I cannot use the door lock button to lock my car on the way out due to the car having a remote/push to start. Super inconvenient to dig I to my purse to find my key to lock the car when the point of the keyless start is to not need the key in hand. 2. Not a lot of open storage space for items in the front. The arm rest compartment is tight and there’s no where to put loose items other than a tiny change holder and the two cup holders. 3. Car play often doesn’t connect. I got a new phone which conveniently solved the issue for the most part, but often enough to be inconvenient it says it cannot connect. 4. I can’t figure out how to use my phone and still have the radio playing simultaneously (when I am riding passenger). Whenever I open an app such as Instagram, the radio cuts off. 5. I used to brake while cutting off the engine, thinking I was supposed to, but when I crank the car later the break petal is almost stuck. The car will still crank but it literally quit accelerating thankfully while still in my neighborhood, as if the engine was slowly dying on me. 6. The acceleration is lacking and very jerky, slight delay in the car actually moving which makes it feel like a slingshot. 7. Keeps connecting to my husband’s phone instead of my own when he rides with me, even though my phone is the primary. 8. The “max AC” function is not any different than just turning the air flow all the way up.

It’s just ok

I have had too many issues with this car and the two years I’ve had it. I would rather Hyundai and give me a brand new car that is not a lemon. It doesn’t have a bunch of stuff going wrong with it in the first two years.
