Beautiful vehicle but not a lot of get-up-and-go
I have been a loyal Hyundai owner for almost 30 years. This 2023 Tucson is my fourth vehicle. It has a great amount of safety options (collision warning, vehicle ahead of you pulling forward, etc.) which is good for insurance purposes. I have always had a manual transmission car and this is the first in 40 years that doesn't have one or have the option to get one. As stylish and smooth ride as this model is (I got all the bells and whistles... leather seats, running boards, luggage rack, etc.) it doesn't have a lot of get up and go unless you put it in "sport" mode which of course changes your milage per gallon quite a bit. The GPS in my vehicle has a mind of its own and quite often takes me over the river and through the woods to a location not entered in the system or to the location but a very rural and long way to get about it. I asked the dealership if there was a way that they could fix it and they said no. I would have to go online, download a program onto a flash drive, put it in the system and so forth and so on.. basically do it myself. Thanks but no. I always have my cell phone navigation programmed to the location in the event that the vehicle system begins to direct me elsewhere. Could just be this ONE vehicle out of the fleet. Lastly this model has a terrible blind spot. From the drivers side looking back to change lanes it is the spot behind the back seat passenger side. (No one should be completely mirror reliant. This is a bad blind spot!)
