This 2016 hyundai sonata is a LEMON

this 2016 hyundai sonata was purchased brand new and since i hit over 30,000 miles it has been problems after problems ....starting with thermostat going out between 32,000 or 33,000 miles that cost me over $400 with a so call warranty and then after that having only 34,000 miles realizing that i didnt have oil in my car with no indication at all that the oil was low....the next oil change was scheduled at 38,000 miles HYUNDAI SOLD ME A 2016 SONATA WHICH IS A LEMON

Great work car

The car is perfect for driving on the packed highways around the DMV. My only issue is the lack of power in those 4 cylinders! The seats are very comfortable and there is plenty of leg room for those sitting in the back seats. The trunk is roomy and the front seats recline almost flat, so you can pack long items easily. I have traveled out of town a few times and the gas mileage was great. Overall, its a wonderful sedan and I highly recommend it.

Dependable Driver

My 2016 has been a good driving vehicle. Gas mileage has been what I expected. Seems to run better on quality gas. Comfortable to drive. Did have a problem with oil usage. Motor changed out. Car always drove well even when using oil. Weak points are blind spots when driving. Also lights seem to limit side vision.

This Sonata has been nothing but a headache

From recall one week after purchase (had a loaner for a month) to chronic engine/oil consumption issues this Sonata has been a headache. Probably built in a Friday ha ha but I’m not laughing. Will probably not purchase a Hyundai again. John Blihar

My 2nd Hyundai

When I bought my 1st Hyundai, I was against it but needed a car. It gave me over 200,000 miles. If not for road salt, I would likely have gotten another 100k out of it. I feel like I’m headed the same direction in this car, plus it’s fun to drive!

Irate Owner of 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport

My 2016 Hyundai Sonata Sport has been nothing but trouble. I am so sick of the oil consumption tests and the other games Hyundai plays in terms of trying to get this vehicle fixed. Hyundai has treated me very poorly and I am disgusted with them.

Good While She Lasted

We bought our 2016 Sonata used with 155k miles. I wasn't too concerned knowing the dependable reputation of Hyundai. My daughter drove the car for roughly 7k miles and the engine locked up. Total engine failure. We performed regular maintenance on the vehicle and had the known updates completed. The car was in good condition inside, outside, and under the hood. We're not exactly sure what happened to cause the engine failure, but we were very surprised given the reputation of the vehicle.

Enjoyable

It is definitely enjoyable when you can take trips and not worry about breakdowns or frequent stops to fill up with gas.The quick pick-up when getting onto a highway is comforting! This is my second Sonata.

Sonata is great

I'm a tall guy and love a smooth ride. My 2016 Sonata Limited checked the boxes for comfortable ride and plenty of room for my frame. The gas mileage is respectable for a mid-sized sedan. My favorite part is the smooth, comfortable ride. It looks really classy, too. I really like my Sonata.

Great car!

This is my second Hyundai Sonata and my next car will be a Hyundai Sonata too (unless I win the lottery and can afford a Ferrari but even then I'd still get a Sonata for everyday driving). Comfortable, roomy while still on the smaller side. This care is a great value, inexpensive to run, reliable, and doesn't need a lot of repairs.

Great service

Great service. Attention to detail. While I was waiting for a new battery to be installed, they took the liberty to do a "walk around" inspection. Same one one done 2 weeks prior for an Oil Change. Standard, or upselling? Still good service at customer expense.

Only a Hyundai will do

For approximately 40 years, I drove only Ford/Mercury vehicles. I got my first Hyundai about 6 years ago and I am now a true believer. I traded my Elantra for a Sonata Limited and tell everyone it is the best care I’ve ever owned! It drives and handles beautifully, it’s well appointed and offers the best value in the road today. It will be another couple of years, but I’m already looking toward a Kona Limited! Planning us half the fun!!!
