The best car ever.

Love everything about the 2011 - 2014 series. My first Sonata was a basic 2011. It was great until someone ran a stop sign (5 years later) and totaled it. (Someone was looking out for me because I got out without a scratch.) Now I need another vehicle. I was very lucky to find a new 2014 model still sitting at the dealership. I normally do not purchase a fully loaded car but this time, I had no choice. It had everything so after 5 years, I am now permanently spoiled.

Love my Sonata?

Love my Sonata. I had many cars in my lifetime from Cadillac, Toyota, Mercury, GM and more but I keep coming back to Hyundai Sonata. It is a well made and secure vehicle. I survived a severe crash from a large commercial truck and was not injured.

I love this car!

I have a 2014 sonata and I absolutely love this car! It’s so roomy and comfortable to drive! I feel safe driving it! It’s also a smooth ride when driving. I’ve had it for some months and I have not had any issues. And it’s a great first car for someone young.

2014 2.0T Sonata

Nice vehicle for the price and actually has some power behind that 2.0T 273Hp vs the other models with hp below 200. With he new NLine Sonata pumping out 290hp, the 2.0T 2011 to 2014 were the first best Sonatas.

Best overall new vehicle I have ever purchased.

Since fall of 2014 this Sonata has been a perfect vehicle. As of February 2021 this auto has perfectly with zero mechanical problems for the 50,000 miles that it currently has one the odometer. Gas mileage is excellence, approximately 19 town and 35 highway at 70 mph. It is fast, comfortable and the 18 inch low profile tires provide really excellent handling

Mechanical issues after 80k miles

2014 turbo Sonata has been unreliable after 80k. Turbo actuator, steering wheel couple and motor for windshield washer all went out at 80k miles. Cruise control does not shut off using the steering wheel button, you'll need to apply the brakes. I recommend not using the cruise control without having it repaired. The gas cap does not lock and needs replacing.

2014 sonata

Great in new England weather. Go right by accords, Chevy's, ford's. Warms up faster in cold weather. Ac. You better be ready. Cold. Han Handling Is spot on. Neighbor has a bmw. I'll take my Hyundai any day. Power and tranny are very responsive. Especially in bad weather. Can down or upshift when needed

Great car

Love my Sonata, it has been a great car! it has 115,000 miles, and has never had a problem. The only issue i have with it, is if you unlock the car it will automatically relock in about 30 seconds. Really, that is supposed to be a safety issue, no it is terribly inconvenient when you have a arm load of things, and the door locks on you. Why???? That will keep me from buying another.

I like the color, and the reliability etc, etc.

I like my cars. I have two. The colors are very smart. One car is blue, an nice midnight blue, and the other one is red. Red is my favorite. However, the blue color looked so good that I had to buy that also. I only have a two car garage, or I would buy a white one. Red White and Blue for living in this great country of America. Thank you very much.

Awesom

I love the gas mileage and easy handling. To be a midsize care, it has power. I feel safe wile driving my care. This is the second Hyundai I have had. It is a very reliable car. I love the electric seat adjustments.

OK Car, but too many recalls

The car is OK, but there have been many recalls. This requires that I go to a dealer which is quite a drive away. Very inconvenient. My previous Honda did not have this problem. If there is a dealer near you, it would be a good car to buy.

Looks good but to bad you need to view in Service Department!

The Sonata looks GREAT but I have had nothing but problems with the car from engine, to steering, CVS Boots and electrical. For the money I would consider Mazda or Toyota and even Nissan. Just to many issues for ownership.

Thank you fir a fabulous car im proud of ! My kids are proud of me for getting my first new car. Its the same color as my business logo and it has increased my business. Its comfortable, roomy, dependable, and good on gas. Thank you. Nit very happy about all the recalls because it makes me nervous.

Not happy with it lots issues

I have owned similar Hyundai Sonata 2012 before I purchased this car. I did have some issues with it but not too much. However, since I bought this car, I have been experiencing issues one after another especially the recalls. I don’t think I can buy Hyundai next time.

Service

I recently had to take my 2014 sonata to Dick Smith Hyundai for a callback. As usual the service was tremendous. They drop me off at a local restaurant while I was waiting for them to check my vehicle and before I even call them to come and pick me up they were outside waiting for me. Now that’s what I call service.

Great vehicle to own

I will not go on details. I had my vehicle from 2013 and I spend minimum amount(Just on brakes and tires) on maintenance. Still the car drive like new. The styling and feature of the car was updated then any other competitor.
