REMOVE Auto stop/start function. Really irritating at stop signs-red lights. A warning to indicate when tail gate is extended if put in drive mode. (son needs that). If your link to my vehicle continues to 'talk' to each other-depleting my battery-give consumer extra battery or just stop data swap. Your 20yr. old designers really need to redesign that lift gate. The rating system below ?What is a 1 ? what is a 10?

Good value for the cost - picky problems

I’ve owned the vehicle about 18 months and have already gotten 3 recall notices. Minor issues with seatbelt, radio, nav not always working properly, but can’t get to replicate at the dealer. Mileage not as good as expected, but largely due to AWD & city use. Spacious interior, having the 3d seat option is FANTASTIC. Quite happy with the vehicle overall.

Good but Not Great

I couldn't wait for the newly designed Santa Fe to come out. It's great looking, but it has issues... So far I've had recalls for a transmission update, and several others, At 10K miles the rotors were warped, and not covered under warranty, so I was forced t pay for it. I still have 2 BS recalls on the car now, and I have to schedule and waste half a day over those. The 21" wheels are great looking but impractical. I've had 2 tires cut down because of potholes. The interior is beautiful and luxurious, but the controls suck. You have to take your eyes off the road to make any adjustments. Please bring back knobs. Managing the car systems via the screen is excruciatingly difficult and confusing. And most of all, the turbo inline 4 is anemic... We came from a V6 Pallisade, an in comparison, the Santa Fe has no guts, no torque until the turbo spools up. Wish I had bought a hybrid that could have helped with off the line acceleration when needed. Not sure, at this point, if I would buy another one....

Not Happy

We have experienced persistent problems with this vehicle from the very beginning. The car’s electronics have been particularly problematic: the door unlock button works only about 10% of the time, even though the mirrors extend, indicating that the key is recognized. While driving with cruise control, the car suddenly lost all power, forcing us to pull over on the interstate. This was extremely dangerous, as we were in the passing lane. The engine sometimes idles at a very high RPM and can take up to five minutes to return to normal. After putting the car in park, it occasionally behaves as if in neutral, rolling forward or backward depending on the incline. Rear hatch opens randomly. Additionally, the transmission does not always shift into the appropriate upper or lower gear while driving and may rev very high before shifting. These issues are intermittent, making them difficult to diagnose. The vehicle’s fan has also turned on while the car is parked and locked, completely draining the battery on more than one occasion. Overall, these problems are serious and pose a significant safety risk. Owned your Palisade and absolutely loved it!

Regrettable purchase.

Purchased new in 2024. Transmission had to be replaced within the first three weeks due to recall with dual transmission issue. Car at dealership for three months because no replacement parts were available due to being a new model. I wish I could have just gotten my money back. I didn't spend $50K+ for a brand-new car off the lot with manufacturing issues. Previously drove Volvo vehicles for the previous three cars. This will be the last and only Hyundai vehicle I purchase. Major buyers remores.

Too many recalls

This is the only car I’ve ever had that ever had a recall. I’ve had the car for less than 2 years and I’ve already received a 4th recall notice. I should get $$ off my principle (or some sort of compensation) for all the time I’ve wasted just at the dealership or driving to and from the dealership plus gas money. Time is money

I really do like the vehicle. We have had a lot of compliments on the vehicle. It is really good on gas, and it doesn't cost a lot to fill from empty. My only con about the car is that the dashboard cuts on and off while driving.

Great Value

I love the car. Amazing value for the features you get. Haven't had any major issues but I've only had it for 3000 miles at this point. Only issue is the service department being slow and hard to communicate with for the initial minor issues I did have (rattling HUD which they fixed and damaged window panel which they also fixed). Thankfully they give you a loaner so not a critical problem but annoying.

Poor Control Panel, Missing Feature

I hoped thus was my last car. Now im not sure if I want to keep it, not confident in reliability or safety. Two issues: Control panel with Navigation and instructions had gone out 2x, have to wait almost 2 mis for service and nor even sure of that as service adv has not sent me the date and time as promised. 2) On two occasions, 1 going to enter freeway and then a 2nd time in traffic, I lost most of my power. I had to pull to side of road, seems somehow the cruise Control was activated and stopped the car. Very dangerous situation. NIT anything I have encountered in previous vehicles, 2 Hyundais and multiple Buicks.

Pretty vehicle especially interior but the rest not so great

I really love the interior. It’s very pretty and the screens and buttons are easy to use. I’ve experienced lots of issues with the vehicle. Problems with acceleration and electrical systems. Ended up getting new transmission and another issue with the electrical system that the dealer decided was my problem until I did my own research and told them what the issue was. I’m regularly having to bring the vehicle in for recalls. The dealer cut my back seat, probably when removing the plastic covering from factory, but said it wasn’t them.

Great car, could stand some improvement

Pros: great visibility. Roomy. Good gas mileage. Powerful. Seats are comfortable for long trips. Cons: I hate the gearshift on the steering column next to the wipers. The car is horrible in snow.

We Love Our Santa Fe

The Santa Fe is very comfortable and extremely quiet while driving. Has plenty of features at a more affordable price compared to other brands. We find the quality is better than more expensive SUVs. This thing is fast too - probably too much pick-up for my wife's right foot! I must admit sometimes I get a roller-coaster adrenaline rush when she's driving. That girl drives fast. I prefer my old man driving technique. But the Santa Fe accommodates both styles of driving. We haven't had any problems on our 2024 model.
