Generally unhappy and miss my Forester!

From the start, it looks pretty, rides smooth. HOWEVER I quickly learned, when trying to merge onto a highway, this thing has no pickup! Like dangerously so. Even pulling out on a street with speed of 45 or up is nerve wracking, let alone making a left across a 4 lane highway during traffic. I’ve learned to switch to sport mode to help with this, but then gas goes quicker and it’s much louder revving. I cannot wait for my lease to be done to get rid of this car.

Very satisfied, with a couple of suggested improvements

I'm very satisfied with this vehicle and have 2 suggestions. The first is the pushbuttons for gear selection. I've had the vehicle for almost 2 years and cannot get used to those buttons. I wish the great selection was a lever on the steering column. The second suggestion is to make the default setting for the "auto engine shutoff" a selectable value. I'd rather have that feature default to off.

Base model is about average

The vehicle is reliable, but build quality is a little lacking. Mine came with doors slightly out of alignment, but not worth dealing with as I suspect it would be made worse. For the money, it should have come with all LED lights, but about 75% are incandescent. It seems that all new vehicles now use hard plastics in places that used to be padded. Something that was a mark of a poor-quality vehicle in years past. Overall, the 2023 Santa Fe is an average SUV. Not the best quality, and not the worst, but I am satisfied with it.

Great car. Hate to give it up when my lease ends.

There is a lot to love about this car. The safety features are great and I love all the camera views. Only 3 things that I would change. By default, it has the engine turn off function which is so annoying. I would prefer you need to turn it on if you want to use it rather than needing to turn it off every time I drive. Second thing that I really hate are the automatic wipers. They never wipe when I need them. Just bring back the intermittent setting. Third thing- I needed to replace all the tires after 2 years. For the cost of this car, it should have come with better quality tires. Oh, and fourth thing- no spare. This caught me off guard when I had a flat. It's a big car. They could have fit a spare somewhere.

Very fun to drive car

The Santa Fa is well made and very fun to drive. Interior is very nice, very little road noise. Sound system is one of the best I have ever come across in a SUV.
