The Santa Cruz functions as a small truck and family SUV while providing a comfortable drive with good mileage (over 30 on highway), and lots of pep.

Comfortable and capable

We do love our Santa Cruz and it has proven most capable. My only concern is with long term reliability of some factory accessories. The tonneau cover and fuel injectors have caused other owner's problems, and I hope after 5 years they don't become very expensive repairs. There are minor oddities that are design defects that seem overlooked by Hyundai - no notification if tailgate is open, no ability to switch to FM radio from steering wheel button shortcut, no way to make adaptive cruise control just plain cruise control, can't use factory oil changes earlier. Most defects are minor inconveniences, but still annoying.

My 3rd Hyundai and the worst

No way you can fit an adult into the back seat. The seat cooler doesn’t do anything. No rear seat belts buckled and the seats raised up and still every time you turn off the vehicle it still dings and displays check the back seats. You turn the lights to “off” and there’s still a lot of lights burning in the front. You cannot select or view the cameras unless you’re parking. I bought this as a hunting vehicle for a ranch and it’s noisy and too lit up. I’m very disappointed.

Worst vehicle I've ever owner.

The Santa Cruz is the most uncomfortable vehicle to drive that I have had in over 40 years. I have bought different cushions to help me but none really help that much. I have many passengers that say the same thing. This is 2025 not 1960. Should be able to make it more comfortable but I know it has to be the cost to big companies like you all. Enough said but I will never buy another Hyundai in my lifetime. I bought a warranty package that wouldn't even cover the rotors and my car only had 13,000 miles on the vehicle. Said the warranty on them was only for 10,000 miles. Screw Hyundai. If you can't warranty a vehicle like most of us look to warranties. Like I said HYUNDAI is ridiculous and I will be posting things about this vehicle because I know that the best way to get at you is to say the truth about your vehicles. Have a GREAT WEEK.

It’s better than the frontier in many ways

There are two things I would change about this vehicle. 1) the transmission and transfer case that uses a clutch in the vehicle has got to go. 2) the styling is too futuristic.
