Flexible and fun

Like driving a Honda accord that you can carry straw in. It has enough power to be fun to drive, the seating of a smaller sedan, and I can pick up a slit seeder from the equipment rental place. Looked at the Santa Cruz and Ridgeline as options and think I picked the right vehicle. If I could change just one thing, I’d make is slightly larger, but not moving to the Palisade size. Liked this trucklet enough I bought another Hyundai, 2024 Palisade. That says more than my review can.

Over 25k miles in 2.75 years without a single issue. It’s been used as an suv and as a truck performing as I wanted.

Santa Cruz---in!

Finally decided to trade my Santa Fe Sport in for another Santa..Cruz! Wow, what a vehicle, this was fully loaded with everything. Cortnee Thrasher was my sales consultant who made me feel as if I was the only customer looking for a new car. She answered every question I could possibly come up with. She walk me through the whole trade in car buying process and put my worries to rest. Over my life I have bought 14 cars.... all from the same small town dealer, he felt like a family friend. After going over features and procedures with Cortnee she won over my business, and didn't think twice about going back to that other dealer!

Great with little improvement needed

Exactly as advertised, it’s best for a daily commuter while being a great vehicle for outdoors recreation. My only two complaints are: 1. Transmission gear searches 2. Unless you’re under 5’6” as the driver, back passengers don’t have much room great for dogs and kids though.

My experience with this vehicle is outstanding

I absolutely love the truck, but I did get screwed with a lot fee when I bought it and the gas mileage is pretty terrible too

Good commuter

I recently traded my Santa Cruz in for an F-150. Hyundai steered me away from anything with a turbo on it. I had a Hyundai Kona and my Santa Cruz both had turbos and both I had problems with; the Kona at 50k miles and the Santa Cruz at 30k miles.

Fun Vehicle with a lot of Tech

Santa Cruz is a fun vehicle to drive with the 2.5T. The technology, comfort, and warranty are second to none. Only downsides are interior and bed space, as well as the dual clutch transmission. The DCT handicaps an engine that really wants to go.

A few issues

I need to schedule an appointment to have the door to my gas tank fixed. It will not open by pushing on it anymore, if it accidentally gets closed. Instead, I need to pry it open. Also, every now and then the radio just turns off. Lastly, sometimes it seems as those it does not shift properly. Over all, I am very happy but need to have a few things fixed. I also was never able to connect to BlueLink even by calling BlueLink directly.

It a smooth riding and comfortable vehicle..

Only things I didn’t like is there no leg room in the in the back for bigger passengers. The motor on the 2.5 liter could be a bit peppered, but overall the seating is comfortable, the instruments or easy to work and undesirable and the gasoline mileage is not to shabby.

Overall, I love my Santa Cruz. The Blue Link and radio have had a few glitches. Gas mileage hasn't been great. A rock has chipped my paint, and at times, it hesitates when continuing after slowing down or stopping. I'm very happy with the design and tires.

2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz

I gave my grandson my 2006 Honda Ridgeline and bought the Santa Cruz. It’s taken me awhile to fully appreciate how nice of a ride it is. I found it a little bit small when comparing it to the Ridgeline, and am not able to fit any of my motorcycles in the bed due to small size. That being said, the Santa Cruz drives great, gets excellent gas mileage, is quite comfortable, and has all wheel drive, which was a must for me. It even pulls my trailer easier than the Ridgeline.

Nice package

Need modifications to cargo area and existing slider cover. There is too much space for water, dust, and dirt to enter the area. The cover requires far too much effort to unlock, latch, open and close. Ride is good as is seating. The interior is adequate for five average size adults. Visibility to the rear is limited, however outside rear mirrors provide good save maneuvering and lane changing.
