It's a truck and a sports car

The Santa Cruz is an all around great truck. You can load furniture, paver stones, and groceries. Fold down the tailgate and with the bed extender you can move furniture. The rear seats fold up and you can load a lot os extra boxes. The Santa Cruz has power, handling and comfort. Mileage is good plus 25 MPG. The ride is very comfortable; parking is very easy .

I love driving this little truck.

If it weren't for my distrust of turbos I would have gotten a step up. I feel that automatic cruise control is a major safety issue.

Love it!

I like that the cab is as roomy as the Tucson and I love that whatever I haul for my garden stays out of the "living" space and I can hose the bed down to clean it. It feels a little sassy for my lifestyle.

Great combo of a vehicle

In 2023 on my way to look at Santa Fe's. As I turned the corner I slammed on my brakes and yelled out what are you? It was love at first sight. Here it is almost two years later and I'm still in love. Only draw back is I would love to put the driver window down without the pressure building in the cabin. Hurts my ears bad. Seems most vehicles are the same. I also don't like if I lean against the truck it makes a buckle sound. That shouldn't be.

The “Mullet” of SUVs

It’s business in the front, and party in the back! I am able to drive to business meetings in class, and on the weekends, tote all my camping supplies in the flatbed and pull my RV. This is the perfect vehicle for my dichotomous lifestyle!

Cup holders

Front seat cup holders are tapered and too narrow at base. It would be nice if it could accommodate a 1 liter bottle size. I suggest a rear pull down center console/armrest in the back center seat with cup holders that can handle a 1 liter bottle size as well. More flexibility in aiming vents. I can't aim the front vents low enough and it would be nice to have a vent under the steering wheel that could be opened or closed and aimed at waist. Auto tint rear view mirror with digital compass built in. Auto tint side view mirrors.

Smooth, yet aggressive style and performance, with issues

Very nice, sporty look and feel. Very nice option packages. However, the dash was too cold, visually. Even when adjusting the blue filter. Dash gauge customization was limited. Not enough analog HUD options. Also, the tubular side bars were out too far, making exiting the vehicle cumbersome. They also affected ground clearance. The bars need a design overhaul. Also, the auto-drive assist almost took me off the road TWICE!! Completely useless and dangerous feature. Also, lack of quality control. Traded my new Santa Cruz in on a a new Jeep before experiencing any major drive train problems, but many owners I speak with state multiple major problems with engine and transmission. Stop using customers as your quality control.

Fun and Functional

Honestly, the title says it all. I actually ENJOY driving the '24 Santa Cruz and love the aerodynamic look of the vehicle with its curvy lines across the board. Moreover, it is very functional as a pickup truck, having carried 20 bags of yard mulch from the garden shop to my home while hardly even noticing the load in handling and performance. Yes, I know that was a pretty extreme load, as each bag was about 30 pounds, putting the Santa Cruz near, but not over its payload capacity. It's the perfect all-around "truck" for me.
