Worst paint job on a vehicle I have ever owned

We purchased this vehicle for our son in May 2025 as a graduation gift. Once we got it and the sun was able to shine on the car, we could see where the paint on ALL vertical surfaces of the car had run and pooled up in wavy patterns along the bottom of the doors and the quarter panels. We contacted the dealership asking for assistance with the issue and were told they would have to contact Hyundai corporate to figure out what to do. We have not heard back from anyone in 4 weeks now.

Exceptional small pickup truck

We wanted to buy a pickup that wasn't a huge gas-guzzling monster that we needed a ladder to get into. We looked at a few different makes and models, but none caught our eyes until we saw the Santa Cruz. It's everything we wanted in a pickup. Plus, it fits in our garage.

I have the Hyundai Night.

I love the ability of a small pickup with comfort and pep. I am happy with gas milage. I wished it came without the running boards. I also like the storage under the box bed. I question the longevity of the dual clutch transmission since Hyundai has deleted this unit on the new Santa Cruz.

Will not buy another one

This is my favorite vehicle as far as looks, but nothing else. I had a new 2022 and it was great as far as super quite while driving, no rattles, no problems getting my oil changed when I wanted! This new 2024 has so much road noise that I sprayed under the carriage with undercoating spray, put quite studio foam under dash and still is just awful!! Just about none of the panels line up & don’t get me started on trying to get an oil change ! Worst experience ever!!

Electrical issue renders vehicle extremely dangerous

I initially loved my Santa Cruz. I have owned a Hyundai before and never had a problem with it. My immediate family have owned at least ten Hyundais in the past 25 years. However, after owning this Santa Cruz for just over one year, I began experiencing a serious electrical problem. I’ve now taken it to two different dealership service departments for a total of NINE WEEKS of lost usage, and they are unable to fix it. Engine, transmission, radiator, everything works fine mechanically. It’s an electrical problem involving the CAN bus that techs cannot properly diagnose and repair that has resulted in my deep dissatisfaction with the vehicle. I bought a new vehicle for the reliability and warranty, especially since I live in a remote area with few resources. Now it seems I’ve been stuck with an extremely unreliable vehicle that can’t be diagnosed to even be repaired under the warranty. I wish I’d never bought it and I warn people against Hyundais now.
