over all one of the nicest vehicles I have ever owned. love the way it rides and drives. the quality of build if far above most cars I've looked at. just wish they could quiet the high pressure fuel pump and the transmission

This car is a junk vehicle.

Around 20000 miles, the car had 2 majors problems, engine and transmission. This car is not reliable. Hyundai manufacturer is not responsible for dishonest dealer service. HDA is not reliable, lose control at sharp turn and at the larger intersection. At the active HDA and active cruise control mode on free ways, the stopping distance from the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz to the car in front is too close around 3ft or 5ft. it is not a safe and comfort distance. At the active HDA and active cruise control mode on free ways, the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz doesn't slow down when another car change lane to the front of it.

Horrible Transmission

Transmission doesn’t know what gear to shift to when slowing and stopping. Awful jerking as a result. Cold start (even in the summer), it takes several seconds for the trans to engage so it rolls forward on a downslope. Suspension is not rigid enough and the chassis is susceptible to uneven roads causing jarring motion.

The transmission is weak

This vehicle is good except for the transmission. It is a concern. I would not recommend this vehicle due to the TERRIBLE transmission. I constantly feel like it is going to break and strand me somewhere. I can feel the clutch slipping every time I drive it. It just gives me an uncomfortable feeling. The cruise control and lane-keeping are excellent! The best I’ve ever driven. I just wish I’d bought this vehicle without the DCT Transmission.
