Very Nice - But Lacking in Some Areas
My wife and I have had this vehicle for several months now, and while we overall really like the vehicle, there are some issues we have come across.
Firstly, the interior space is awesome- especially with a little one and all the stuff they require. We can easily fit a full size stroller and the groceries in the back with the third row down, and one or the other with the third row up. However, with a rear facing car seat, the front passenger seat does have to me moved forward quite a bit reducing the available legroom for the passenger. I am 6’1” and my knees have less than an inch of room when riding in the passenger seat. The only other issue I have is that the driver seat can not be adjusted much for height. At its lowest setting, I have to be careful getting in the vehicle or risk smashing my thigh on the steering wheel.
In terms of driver features, the vehicle is great. The infotainment system is very user friendly after an initial learning curve (we came from Honda) but there are some things missing that we would have expected at this price point. For starters, there is no apple car play. It’s either you wire in or buy an adapter. Additionally, the driver storage space sucks! The cup holders are fine in the center dash, but forget about putting anything in the door cupholders- nothing fits (unless you’re using a disposable bottle or 12oz can)! And the space under the center console seems to be wasted. Ideally it’s used for the passenger or your purse, but because of how it is situated once you are seated in the car, forget trying to access it.
The only other nitpicky issue I have is that the responsiveness of the vehicle is a little sluggish if you’re in the smart or eco mode. Turn that off though and the driving experience is a lot more responsive and fun. However, with the cost of gas it’s not often we switch out modes.
Overall though we really like the vehicle! 8/10.
