A Beautiful SUV for the Long-Term
I have a 2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy that I purchased (as my retirement present) in December 2023 and use it as my daily driver. It is loaded with great features, some of which I have not used yet. I love both the exterior and interior looks of the SUV. The SUV’s exterior is Sierra Burgundy color, which shows the nice silver/chromium trim that gives the SUV a rich appearance. It is very comfortable to drive and sit in for long trips, and is very elegant inside as I bought this Palisade with the light beige/navy interior color to show-off its beauty. The interior has very nice trim (much nicer than even the new 2026 model !) and all the features are well laid-out. It is an easy SUV to drive, and I especially like the 360-degree camera – very helpful. For its size, it gets reasonable gas mileage for both around town and on the highway. My only complaint is that it does not have power folding side mirrors that would be beneficial when driving in & out of my garage (I currently have to roll down the driver’s window and manually fold the side mirror when entering my garage). I did not give this SUV 5 stars as I am concerned about the many reports of these SUVs using engine oil between oil changes. I have owned and drove many cars now for over 50 years and have never had this concern with any of my other cars. Overall, this is a great SUV that I hope will last for the next decade or more.
