Vehicle literally saved my life, and my children's
My 2024 Palisade, was totaled, complete loss on December 26th 2024. A drink driver rammed us on the driver side of the vehicle, sending us into a 360 degree spin. My son was sitting in the seat behind me and my daughter was in the passenger seat. I truly believe it was the safety features and robustness of the Palisade that saved our lives. It took the emergency personnel almost 2hrs to get us out of the vehicle because of how hard the impact was. The other driver was under influence of alcohol and cocaine. My son suffered a "mini" stroke incident(losing all vision except for pin point in the middle, he also had a fractured pelvis and hip bone on the right side, and contused kidney. My daughter, had major bruising on her arm, and chest but otherwise was unharmed, I suffered chest, chest trauma, my L2-L4 were fractured. My belief is that the safety features on the palisade were the ultimate reason my son and I did not perish in the crash. The vehicle did what it was made to do in these situations. Air bags deployed from multiple locations around us, the seatbelts "hugged" us into our seats and all fluids were locked down. the vehicle that crashed into us, a Dodge Charge, had major damage to the left side driver side, and it leaked all its fluids onto the road. Our palisade, dropped its gas tank which was awesome since the vehicle that struck us ripped my driver side, rear tire from the axle completely. If our vehicle had not been made with the upmost care and safety plus outstanding manufacturing, I do not believe, and I will state again, we would have survived. I was in the hospital until March as was my son, receiving therapy and care. Oh, did I mention all this happened while I am stationed in Germany I am an active duty soldier, single mom of two. For these reasons, I will forever be a Hyundai customer. Not only the safety features that saved my family and I, but the overall features of the vehicle, all the comfort, ease and amenities of the vehicle are top notch. I wish I could have replaced it with another Palisade, since this is my second, I had a 2023 and upgraded to the 2024 just before coming to Germany. If I was to make a suggestion for the vehicle, it would be the location of the USB is cumbersome, and it glitches a lot, on both vehicles, I had issues with connectivity. Also I definitely would invest in a cellphone location where either you use the slot or add your own cradle to allow for video conferencing or calls etc. Also, instead of standard USB I would look at micro USB.
In conclusion, my 2024 Palisade, is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned, it literally saved my life, my daughter's and that of my son, who is a High School senior now. If I could send pictures of the accident I would so you could appreciate exactly how well this vehicle took care of us. I made a post on Facebook, and tagged your corporation and the dealership that sold me the vehicle, I went in for an oi change and walked out with an upgraded palisade, the post was done around the time of the accident. If this vehicle would have reacted any differently or had been made with lower quality products, I would not be able to write this review, that is my most adamant belief. Thank you.
