Very pleased and impressed.
I bought the Calligraphy trim variant, which is beyond feature loaded. I could not be more impressed with the vehicle - it is a pleasure to drive. I've taken it on a trip from FL to PA and have driven it in heat and snow. The combination of 4WD and AWD options were wonderful. The vehicle has a very powerful motor (3.8L V6, 291 HP) mated to an 8-speed transmission (electronically controlled) delivering efficiency, speed, or custom performance as needed. I previously had a Buick Park Avenue with a 3.8L V6, 205 hp, and then a Chevrolet Suburban with a 5.3L V8, 320 hp. The Palisade adds more transmission gears and feels to me as though it outperforms both, and the towing ratings (I have not towed with it) are comparable to the Suburban, while fuel economy is far better than either of those vehicles. Even the three rows of seats are a step up - room is sufficient in all three rows for adults, and the seats have heating (all three rows) and cooling (front two rows) features that mean that all passengers enjoy greater comfort.
If I were to ping the vehicle for negatives, they would be that I wish a second row console were available - and possibly two more cup holders reachable from the front seat (I added a console myself without any problems), I wish that the dash offered a shelf or other storage space for cell phones. There is a space for one phone in the front console, but that means that the passenger phone does not have a spot. A sunglasses storage spot would be nice. That's my list of negatives. As to positives, between the massage feature, the memory seats, the one push up/down windows (all four), panoramic sunroof, powerful drive train, below console storage, substantial power drops, heated/cooled seats, power drop down of the rear two rows of seats, easy ingress/egress to the second and third row seats, low road noise, 4WD/AWD, heads up display, rear mirror camera (meaning I can load the back up fully and have no obstructions to my rear view), outstanding lighting, phenomenal tech package (including two programmable buttons - I have one set to tell me the weather at the push of a button), and great outside lighting (very visible from all sides) . . . and I can keep going on this list for a while. Love it. Absolutely love it.
One last love. The car already saved my life. I had a health issue and had passed out while driving at 50 mph. The collision avoidance system alerted me, bringing me to consciousness, and I narrowly avoided a crash that would have killed me. Hard not to love a life saving vehicle.
