Kona problems

The vehicle Kona 2023 had to be brought in for a number of services, 3 to 4 times. The vehicle would die in the middle of a K turn, also add a stop sign or a light. The check light would come on the dashboard. One time it stalled out and had to be restarted 4 times while pulling out of a driveway! After being serviced a number of times the vehicle needed an engine block, which is absurd for a new car having less than 30,000 miles I felt very unsafe in the car, not knowing when and if it was just gonna die and have to be restarted or being towed back to the dealership. Kona had a number of mechanical problems. Additionally, insurance companies charge you a higher rate for a Hyundai Kona or an ELANTRA because they are easy to be stolen.

Good and bad

Good- mpg great, handling great, back up camera great. Bad - no CD player - no cell or radio reception where I drive. Sirius radio reception doesn't work either. I use my iPod.

No chirp.when remotely locking

I've complained about not having an audible notice when locking remotely . Dealer replaced one part it didn't work . Refuses to do anything else . I have filed a complaint and have a case number , but I haven't heard back

Best decision I ever made!

I traded a Honda CRV to get this. Was torn between buying another Honda or this car. I'm so happy I made the right decision. I love the interior and the styling on the outside. Great gas mileage too!!

Best car so far.

It’s an awesome car and it rides beautifully. The only issue fo me is that the passenger side seat is too low. It should be able to raise up. Also, the front doors inside should have more storage space. Otherwise it’s a great car.
