Got a lemon

Car was in the shop for over a month in the first 8 monthes we owned it. Stranding us without car 60 miles from dealer. Replaced injectors then a month later fuel pump. Manager at dealer acted as if this was the norm for new cars. Will not buy from them or Hyundai again.

I love my car. It has a ton of great features. It is very comfortable and gets fantastic gas mileage. I have owned a Hyundai since 2007 and I can’t imagine buying a different brand. My mother, brother, and sister all drive Hyundais as well

transmission problems

At 15000 miles car started to have hard shifting problems in city driving. The hard shifting at Highway driving car would shift hard and Hev Stop engine light would come on, causing me to have to pull over on the hwy to turn off engine.

Horrible support from Hyundai

Hyundai's response to video documentation of the 3 dash displays randomly dimming, brightening, going dark is "working as designed". Stay away from this car. Crossroads Hyundai Dealer won't back you.

Loooove my Sonata!

I love everything about the Sonata Hybrid! So far, so great! It runs so smooth - color is beautiful - great entertainment system! Wouldn’t change a thing! I can’t imagine myself driving anything else since discovering the sonata. This is my second Sonata and I love it even more than my first! Keeps getting better!

Showroom Floor Surprise

I went in to look at vehicles. I bought my last Hyundia in 2014. 10 yrs later bought again from same dealership and I was shocked to purchase right off the show room floor. Tyrone at Antwerpern in Catonsville was great to work with.

So far no problems...have always had good service from local dealer. Traded in pervious Sonata for a new and had never had a Hybrid before. Am enjoying the great gas mileage I am getting with the new car.

Local dealer made setup and instructions needed easy and have been there for any questions needed to ask. I have not reached the mileage for my first service, but previous experience with this local dealer has always been great ad informative.

Decent car for a decent price

I have owned multiple Hyundais (2003 Sonata V6 (Automatic), 2012 Elantra Touring (Manual), 2012 Accent Hatchback (Automatic)) and I used to repair them for almost 8 years. The design meets the needs, the interior is very intuitive and better touch and feel when compared to other manufacturers. Highly recommend 2023 Sonata, be it hybrid or regular gasoline. The drive is pleasant, the fuel efficiency is there (I get an average of 55MPG), and the car performs everything that it should really well.

I am totally amazed at the attention to detail in my 2023 Sonata Hybrid Limited. Outstanding highway mpg at 56 with and average of 52 mpg. Hybrid system is seamless and flawless. Drivetrain is smooth and extremely quite.

Great vehicle, Terrible "user experience design"

Car manufacturers do have philosophies. I owned a 2017 high end Buick Lacross and sold it for a 2023 Sonata Limited Hybrid. I love the car itself. The hybrid features are wonderful. The car drives perfectly, nothing has broken in a year. And the warranty can't be beat. But I am so frustrated and aggravated by the "Infotainment System", the software, and the "big brother philosophy" that I will consider other brands when my lease is up. Here are my expectations, which my old Buick satisfied completely. When I have a screen up (radio, for instance), it stays up the next time I turn the car on. Not so in the Sonata. In the Buick, the cruise control is always on, waiting to be used. With the Sonata, I have to switch it on first, and then I can set it. And it gets turned off automatically when the car is turned off. On the Buick, most of what I need is controlled by buttons or dials. The Sonata relies on the touchscreen for too many things. And when I tap it with my finger, I usually have to do that at least 2 or 3 times before it is sensed. When I open the door of the Buick and push the lock button on the inside of the door, all the doors become locked as they should be, and I can close the door and leave. The Sonata big brothers, for some reason, chose to not allow the lock to work when the door is open. Other things never happened with the Buick. For example, at random times the screens on the dash revert to some default setting and the climate control system is turned off. The Sonata decides sometimes that the A/C should be turned on -- even if the outside temperature is 50. Big brother at work again. I want a car that I control, not some idiot who thinks he knows what I want and need better than I do. This is even more aggravating when I consider how much I love the car itself: it really is wonderful. But the horribly designed user experience is causing my blood pressure to rise. If you like having all the decisions made for you, this might be the best car you ever had. But if you're like me, prepare to be aggravated.

This is my 4th Hyundai Sonata limited edition and really enjoy the car.

I really enjoy the Hyundai Sonata limited edition. This is are 4th Sonata are first was a 2015 then a 2017 then a 2020 and now a 2023 Hyundai Sonata limited edition Hybrid. This time we got the Sonata limited edition Hybrid and so far we like the car. Great mileage and exterior design.

John's hybrid Sonata

Great car 2nd Sonata, great gas millage 50 plus, very comfy. Average power. Trany shifts abruptly on steep hills that's my only complaint. I just turned 3400 miles with a 1800 mile trip. Car was very nice on the highway. I just don't care for the way it shifts in the hills. Otherwise I really like the car.

Car is built around optimizing MPG

The car does everything it is supposed to. It's not going to hop on a freeway real quick and you'er not gonna win any races. The interface is easy, the MPG are incredible and it's fun and easy to drive.

This is my third sonata hybrid limited. I have found each of them to be reliable, comfortable, stylish and a pleasure to drive. The attention to detail both exterior and interior is great. I also drive a 2024 Toyota Rav4 and find the interior in the Sonata to be much nicer and the electronics to be more user friendly..

Very Uncomfortable but Amazing Gas Milage

The 2023 Sonata Hybrid Limited gets amazing gas mileage and has some really nice safety features, but is horribly uncomfortable. The seats are hard and small compared to previous years model. No matter how I tried to adjust the seats they remained painful to sit in for any extended period of time. It actually felt like there was a metal bar going across my shoulders and the lumbar support was useless.

One of the best hybrid vehicles in the class.

This is the third Hyundai I have owned and the second Sonata. None of them have had any issues. This hybrid, in my opinion, is the best hybrid sedan in it class. I have consistently gotten the EPA rated MPG from day one. Sometimes I get even better than the rated MPG! But I did not purchase it just for the MPG, it is a very nice looking vehicle and I get positive comments everywhere. Everything works as it should. But there are a few improvements I would make: It could use more power, either with a turbo or with more electric power. There is no way to raise the passenger seat. There is no storage pocket behind the driver's seat. Lighting in the trunk is poor and there are no attachment to tie things down, only some plastic clips for a mesh bag. It could also use a real spare tire and jack. The ride is good, even on long trips. I appreciate the pressurized hood struts over the metal prop rod so many in this class have. I am a sedan guy and appreciate that Hyundai still offers a couple of sedans in the overcrowded SUV market.
