No Dual Clutch Transmission = Wonderful

I had 2 different models have failed dual clutch transmissions so switched to a hybrid when these came out & love it! The dealership traded in the last faulty vehicle for this one but gave me $8k in negative equity that I had to roll into my new loan on the hybrid which was unethical in my opinion! I only had the faulty vehicle for 6mos & had only put 6k miles on it so the math did not compute in my opinion plus the inconvenience of the whole situation. I was never compensated & only moved forward with my purchase because I was afraid of the transmission stalling out on the faulty vehicle. I needed to protect my family and so now my payment is ridiculous. Having the negative equity factored in it’s just overall wrong. Hyundai corporate did an awful job trying to remedy the issue as well.

Good car but driving assist is awful

Driver assist constantly pings if you look away. If I’m passing a semi and want to hug the opposite lane to put space between it and me it pulls me back toward the center

Overall great but a few annoying things

Overall I like it but the MPGs aren't quite as good as advertised especially in a colder climate. Generally only get 28-29 MPG in colder weather and 30-32 MPG when warm. The most annoything thing is the cruise control keep your eyes on the road warning and alerts. If you are wearing sunglasses it always pops up keep your eyes on the road literally almost every 20-30 seconds to you have to move your head around or put your sunglasses down all the freaking time. Even when sunglasses aren't on it still comes on often whether or not you are stairing straight the whole time. This is apparently a feature that you cannot turn off, even in the setting's it has an area to turn off, it still doesn't turn off. Please fix this or make it turn off when you want it turned off. It makes longer higherway trips very annoying and sometimes unbearable.

Great

Hi it’s very nice vehicle except a few thing I got nothing to say overall it’s great so I am just going to focus on the areas that I don’t like besides this ones it’s awesome I am very happy with it. My second row sliding mechanism ( I got 7seat version ) that button on the should have the right side and left side of the second row stopped working after like 6 7 month of use. First right side stopped then left side because people usually use the right side more. And my dealership said diagnostic takes 3 business days I usually got stuff to do with the car so I couldn’t leave it for that right now I am pulling it forward first then pushing up that lever on the side so someone can acces to third row. Second bad thing is key fob silver side is all ripped off after a few months it really looks bad and low quality. I know the other key fob type Hyundai has that they use for tuson etc it’s much more quality then this one this is really cheap and feels very bad. Besides this ones I can’t say any bad thing about it maybe some design mistakes like that rear lights but it’s all personal choices. But this two is very low quality problems. Second row sliding mechanism and key fob thank you have a good day

Poor vehicle rating

Santa fe has had many recalls; had engine replaced and sensors still do not work properly. In addition, customer service at dealership and corporate have been very poor.
