Bad with the Good

We bought this Santa Fe and within a few weeks noticed a problem. The vehicle would suddenly loose acceleration. This occurred several times and was in the shop off and on for weeks before the Hyundai engineers figured out and fixed the problem. This was a "one off" kind of defect because several of our friends and family have no issues with their Hyundai vehicles. I'm just glad that Hyundai stood by their warranty so I didn't have to pay for the diagnostic, parts, nor labor.

Up until a power down incident, rating would have been higher a 5.

Poor design by not including a 12v Reset button. Poor design allowing for power down situations after 7 days of non use.

Excellent vehicle!

The Santa Fe Hybrid is an excellent vehicle. The only thing we had to straighten out in the beginning is that the Apple Car Play software had not been updated and there was lag time in various applications like WAZE. The Service Dept in Woodbridge updated our software and now it works wonderfully!
