Kona SEL 2025

Good car, reliable if you want a high end technology interior for a decent price and are on a budget. Will last for a while if taken care of well. Got an overall medium “ok” score for how much future maintenance it may need regarding engine and parts.

Great except exceptions

Overall I love my Kona. It’s my third. Love the ambience sound choices and light interior Lacking eyeglass holder and a deeper closed box in center console with I had before.

Love the style

I love the Kona’s style. Although the cloth seats are very uncomfortable. Especially on long trips. Around town I suggest you leave it in sport mode. Normal mode is just to sluggish

sporty and fun hope there is a bit more refinement

The care is great, at the top end it should have the lighting continue to the back seats and heated back seats should also be included.

Nice improvements from my 2019 Kona. Great features like standing behind car to get hatchback open using remote. Opening/closing hatchback w/o getting out of the car, Bluelink, 360 degree camera, HEATED STEERING WHEEL!

Mostly solid

I came from a 2023 Kona N to this 2025 Kona Limited. So I was familiar with the model's previous version. The technology is decent but I had for the first year a total inability to get it to display cover art for the MP3's on a USB stick that worked fine in the 2023 Kona N. Nothing I tried made a difference. Also there is a very annoying rattle in the roof that they claim they could not duplicate, although I duplicated it driving out of their parking lot without issue since it happens all the time. Still have to schedule another visit for that.

Excellent Car

I was not looking for a Hyundai but my husband has a Tucson, so after visiting a few other dealers, I went to our local Hyundai dealer. I was so pleasantly surprised by all of the included features and the excellent look and feel, that I bought it on the spot. I've had it for a year and I absolutely love it.

Lots of issues

On the first day of owning the brand new Kona, my cruise control would turn itself off and slam the brakes on. Went back to dealership, and was told it just had a gremlin but no recalls.... Went in several times with the same problem, but not answers was told to just drive and record myself (against the law) to show them the problem. Now while driving, the cruise still has problems and the instrument panel will just go completely black... that means you can not see how fast you are going or anything! Guess what? No recalls for that either... Oh and I'm on my second battery in one year....
