Unreliable Lemon

I loved this car so much but since late 2024 it’s been giving me so many problems! Unfortunately Hyundai could not help me so I am selling it and purchasing a different brand.

Drives like a dream!

After many years of being a loyal Honda driver, I decided to test drive the Hyundai Kona. I immediately noticed how much more smooth the ride was in the Hyundai. It was then that I leased my first Hyundai for three years. When my lease was up, I signed a lease for a new Hyundai Kona, and when that was lease was up I once again stuck with the Hyundai Kona..

Battery issue

Generally, I LOVE my KONA. I did not drive it much in first year, but only let it sit for more than a few days only when on a couple of trips; but the battery went dead and had to be replaced. I reported that often when I started the engine, my phone would 'ping' with message that the engine had been idling and was turned off (bluelink) at the very time I turned the engine on. I NEVER hear it idling when I get out of car, and always turn engine off when I stop the car to get out. I reported this when getting new battery, but got no answer as to why these messages keep happening.

Love my Kona

Purchased my Kona from Courtesy Hyundai. Sales Manager and my salesman, Edel, made it a an easy process - good price. I have gotten up to 47 miles per gallon - not a hybrid. Steering really good- turns on a dime, and plenty get up and go.
