2023 Kona

I bought this car new, trading in my Toyota Carola. It drives nice and the driving sensers are nice to have. It has more power than the Carola, witch I really like. However, it doesn't have allot of power, it's just better than the Carola. It has 15,000 miles on it now and the check engine light came on say that there's a transmission issue. I took it to the dealer, but the light went out on it's own and the dealer said that they couldn't do anything unless the light was still on. I don't like that...

Cute and awesome!

I purchased the 23 Kona for my wife. I had been asking her for years what kind of car she liked. Finally she said a Kona. The salesman listened to our list of preferred features and located the exact car we wanted at another lot. The car was transferred to our nearby dealer and we took delivery. Best car buying experience ever. The all wheel drive is very impressive. It works seamlessly. The car handles like a sports car. I can start it with my phone to heat or cool the interior. It has an amazing number of features for not a huge price and the best warranty in the industry. I would absolutely buy another Hyundai.

First purchase with Hyundai. This vehicle was poorly manufactured. Fails quality checks

I experienced three major issues the first within month 1. The last has been ongoing for 9 months. The dealership is unable to fix the fuel issue. This vehicle has major difficulty filling gas. The nozzle clicks off consistently without the tank being full.

It's been reliable and comfortable so far. Low fatigue factor on longer drives in my opinion. That should suffice but I have reach a minimum number of characters so, ramble on ramble on ramble on ramble.

Servicing Vehicle

When I purchase this vehicle it included general servicing, i.e. oil change. At the time of purchase, I thought it was really a great feature. Well it’s not! Reason being that thousands of Hyundai owners have the same feature so getting a appoint for servicing is ridiculous.

I like the car it got good gas mileage, but once it started with the windshield wipers not working the headlights not coming on and the air Or the defroster not working, left me stranded several times sometimes at home sometimes out during the day but when it’s stranded me at 11 o’clock one night I was ready for to be over over it

I did not like the fact that when it started happening that they told me it was not an emergency that they could not get my car in for five weeks but yet I had no other car and it was not reliable enough for me to do anything or go anywhere I asked them for a courtesy car and they said they didn’t have any

Fun to drive

I enjoy my Kona and love that the back seat folds down for large loads. I have taken it out of state and got up to 35 mag! This is my se c old Hyundai and would highly recommend. It is a great vehicle for the money.

Great ride!

The Kona is one of the smoothest and quiet rides I have had the opportunity to enjoy. The only issue I have had is connect to the Bluelink. The sound system is very nice. Love the spatial sound. Wound recommend the ‘23 model.

I replaced the car after an accident that totaled my other car. The new Elantra's have that funny bar by the passenger side that would not work for me. I chose the Kona instead. Overall I have enjoyed the car.

Unscrupulous Hyundai Service Dealer

Free Oil and Filter Change means that the Service Dealer goes looking for problems which they will "fix" and charge the customer. So if a car is poor quality there will be plenty to fix and that is the case with the KONA

Lacks power and MPG is overestimated

I am leasing a 2023 Hyundai Kona. I am in the 18th month of my lease so the "breaking in time" is well past. This vehicle lacks serious power and the cruise control is horrible. It often will drop below up to 7 MPH of what I have my cruise control set to (i.e. if I set it to 70 it will drop all the way down to 63) going up hill and even on flat roads sometimes. Also this vehicle was rated at 30 MPG (one of my main criteria for deciding to lease a small SUV), but I am averaging only 25 MPG and I would not consider myself an aggressive driver. I do like the Lane Follow assist that allows temporary hand free driving and blind spot monitor with Rear Cross Traffic alert, but the insufficient power, disappointing cruise control and low MPG have already made me decide I will not be purchasing my lease, and I would not recommend this car.

Smallest vehicle with high price and minimum features

I felt that I should have had a better deal on this vehicle. The amount of the purchase and payments is not worth it for the vehicle. It has no real features, the passenger room is uncomfortable. The car seems to take over driving sometimes and it feels unsafe.

So far So Good

23000 miles on vehicle and running great. So far no problems with the engine, suspension, transmission and so forth. You do hear a lot of road noise, but other than that, good car so far. No complaints as of yet.
