My Kona

This has been a great car so far! It's everything that I have been wanting and looking for in a car! It gets great gas mileage, very comfortable to ride in, and has great performance with the engine and brakes!

Like it but has some problems. Transmission being the biggest I can see. I would like someone to contact me and see if this issue is a reoccurring problem and if so rectify the situation immediately. Thanks.

Kona

Kona was comfortable to drive, has requisite bells and whistles. I was replacing a beloved twenty year old Honda Civic with relatively low mileage to increase safety features and newer parts and structures.

Very Good Crossover

I’ve had my 2020 KONA for just over a year. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it! It has met my needs and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good SUV and has been turned away by other dealerships for financing reasons. The styling is very nice and really sticks outs! I still turn and see other KONAs on the street and smile. Check this vehicle out.

Defects

I bought my car brand New and few months later all my plastic components on the exterior of my car bumpers, doors, windows got discolored still hasn't been fixed, check engine light comes and go and another light.

Good buy with a few minuses

Good solid car small small minuses, noisy cabin, hard ride, head lights should be LED. The interior is nicely appointed but the use of plastic on door panels and throughout the interior gives the Kona a lower priced car.

Fun and economical

The 1.6L turbo is a fun engine to drive yet still gets great gas mileage. Overall styling is nice. I should have purchased the all wheel drive version, otherwise would buy it exactly the same again. Great value for the money spent.

Rugged, sturdy, and nimble

This small suv feels "just right", offering a spirited and nimble driving experience. It feels solid as a tank is priced at a very good value compared to what is out there. And who can overlook the long factory warranty? It's a "no brainer".

This is an awesome car. It runs well and has a lot of features that I didn't have in my other car. From now on it is Hyundai for me ! Also, the service is great at the dealership that I go to: Lithia Hyundai of Reno. Check them out the next time that you go car shopping.

Comfort, style, and good color options

I initially went in looking for a newer version of my aging '09 Elantra Touring. The N Line caught my eye but the cost and the lack of color options available at my dealership led me to the Kona. At first I thought it would be a bit large for me after the Touring but it didn't take long for me to get used to it and start enjoying the extra room and power. Any design concerns I have are small (wireless charging pad is too small to fit a phone with a USB plugged in and the cargo nets behind the front row seats don't fit much in them) The first trip I took in mine was a tri-state capital tour that crossed the Appalachians twice. The handling and power were just what I needed and the cargo space was ample for the two person trip. At one point our GPS took us off the Blue Ridge Parkway onto an overgrown dirt road meant for trucks with tall tires. We spent a solid mile scraping past bushes and pushing through weeds but came out the other side without a scratch. Sound system is feature-rich and the smart driving features come in handy. At this point I don't even notice the lane keep corrections and the forward collision detection has saved me twice. I'm a big fan of Hyundai and the type of vehicles they roll out. I hope this one lasts another 10 years before I approach them again for my next adventure.

Great car but....

The brakes are noisy sometimes. Also the car vibrates and that’s very annoying and can make you nervous. Another reason why I wouldn’t consider getting another Kona is that there is no spare tire. That can be an expensive problem if you get a flat.

This is my 4th Hyundai. All purchased from Chapman Hyundai.( Their sales and service department is the best!) I have loved them all... the Kona is my favorite so far! Love the color! Sporty and fun to drive!

Kona Bona

Excellent car for what you pay- however, not a lot of space. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to buy and not spend all of their money in one shot. But again- remember, not that much room in it.

Great Car

I wish it looked a little less outdoorsy, personally and more cute, but I like everything else about it. I bought the Turbo because it accelerated better than all the other veheciles in it's class. I wanted a small SUV but still needed the power, because I enjoy driving.

Fun Car

Fun to drive. Great gas mileage. Good power with turbo. Warranty is really good. very comfortable to sit in. Infinity Sound system is great! Only issue is road and wind noise. Wish they could have somehow filtered out the noise better. Overall great vehicle.

My 2020 Kona

This vehicle looks pretty decent. It lacks better fuel mileage, acceleration is a bit rough and lacking, too much plastic inside, no truck auto truck pop, the control for AC and radio should be electric in above base model. I have had some issues with the temp control. Engine makes noises sometimes and isn't as quiet as it was when I bought it. All this after already having an engine replacement at 7k. Seats should also be auto with any model above base. Seats also arent very comfortable. Floor mats should be included. Middle console is WAY to small. Interior scratches too easily.

Decent for a small car.

I bought this car hastily. I should have bought the Tuscon Sport like I intended. Kona is on. Just too small. I feel they went cheap on some of the features. Engine was also replaced at 7k. I know better next time.

The Kona is an excellent small SUV. Just perfect for me. Not too big not too small.. I would and have recommended it to others.The red color is off set by black highlights. I've had several compliments on the vehicle and it's outward appearance.
