Almost perfect car too bad it's canceled.

This is quite possibly one of my favorite cars of all time. It's too bad they canceled it after 2024. The only things that they would have needed to add to make it one of the best cars I've ever driven would have been a heated steering wheel and Android Auto without having to plug in. The automatic transmission in this car is the best I've ever driven. Whoever designed it knew what they were doing. For sporty driving on a less expensive platform you can't beat this car.

Fun car with some problems

The 2023 Kona N is a fun car to drive around. The power and acceleration capabilities are surprisingly high for a small engine and frame. The adjustable suspension per ride mode is nice to have but it’s super stiff, even in the default drive mode. My suspension has started to creak after 2 years because of this. I’ve also noticed a variety of odd noises coming from the AC Blower fan and filter compartment, somewhere in the dashboard, outside the driver-side window, and while accelerating.

Customer Service

I asked them to balance the tires and they didn't want to do it, telling me the silliest excuse, that they didn't want to be responsible for other people's work. What does that have to do with it, if I was going to pay for it?. And I have had other previous incidents in the service area such as supposedly rotating the rims and they didn't (I marked the rims before taking it in for service), and in another warranty service they removed some screws and didn't put it back in.

The Swiss Army Knife of Cars

The Kona N is a great little "do everything" car. I've used this car for everything from daily work commuting to cross country road trips, and even a few track days. It surprisingly does it all and is a lot of fun to drive.

Kona N

I drive my Kona N as a daily driver. It is fun and quick without eating into my wallet because of gas prices. I live near a college and it is the perfect vehicle to be able to fit into any parking spot I come across as well. My husband and I have also driven it on an almost 2k mile round trip to Miami, FL. It was comfortable the entire time.

N Performance & Quality Build

Kona N is the most fun vehicle I’ve owned. It has lots of tech features not normally found on a vehicle in its price range. The speed and agility make driving fun instead of a chore. Driving modes make it handle more like a track car vs commuter and the exhaust noise can be adjusted loud or quiet.

Hyundai Kona N is an Exceptional Performance Value

There are few other vehicles with as many excellent performance oriented features in this price range. Great engine, 8 Speed Trans, 14.2" Rotors, LSD, Electronic Suspension, Well Bolstered Seats, etc.

Front wheel drive can't handle power

Took a chance on first Hyundai...Wanted car I would feel confident year round in Northeast... Doesn't come close to my prior 15 year old Infinity unfortunately considering trading but book value has dropped so much cannot afford loss

Well balanced and competitive for thousands less than its competitors. Good aftermarket support. Being able to cruise around town without to much noise or nvh. But able to pop it into N mode and... Grin... Non stop as you drive. Good cargo space. Good seating for passengers. Side bolsters are comfy. Again you get a really solid car for much less, and you can go above 85 mph, not have to buy aftermarket parts to reduce ride quality and its has a rarity

King of the Hot Hatches

Love this car, it's a blast to drive! Good power, brakes, suspension - and at a better price than other hot hatch options. My only wish is for a 4WD version, which would make this little car the leader of the pack. Would purchase again for sure!

I believe I was sold a lemon

Since day one I’ve had problems and inconsistencies with my Kona. Each time I’ve been dismissed and stuck with no solution by the service department. The brake’s immediately had issues and the outside frame/rims were rusted.

This car has many great features. It is fun to drive and the Grin Shift actually makes you smile. There is so much technology I haven't learned how to use everything yet. All the bells and whistles of a luxury car in a sport package.
