Coming from a Tesla Model 3 this car is more comfortable and the controls are much better.

It has its positives and negatives

The power is good. The range is good comfortable except for the odor. I don’t like to drive it because the odor is not good. Supposed to be a new car smell, but I’ve never smelt the car this bad sometimes it smells like dead fish, but on the other hand, it does go away after a while But it’s right back there. The next time you go to drive it.

I Love This Car!

I love the interior. I love the exterior. I appreciate having NACS connectivity. I love all the safety features. The 2x2 200HP isn’t as fast as my previous AWD 300HP Ioniq 5. That’s okay. Also, the stupid horn that blows when I open/close the doors! Stop that! I live in an apartment complex and don’t like to bother neighbors at late hours.

Fun to drive, great quality. Mileage is better than advertised.

My biggest complaints center around the fact that an SEL, priced at or around $50,000, lacks a sunroof, memory seats, active wiper controls. You have to pay $3-6000 for those extras. Its seems silly and unnecessary.

Ioniq 5 is a good choice with software improvements needed.

Good build quality and driving characteristics. Nice interior with great features. Software has a lot of features which are hampered by the need for obvious updates. Information and settings assigned to the driver need to be entered with each drive. This redundancy is irritating. A good review and updating of the vehicle software with the a focus on driver experience is needed.

I waited years for this car and it did not disappoint

I immediately felt at home even as soon as I was test driving the Ioniq 5. First, the performance is awesome. Second, the car seems sized just right - definitely not small but also not huge.

Overall a great vehicle

We love this car. Fast charging, long range, very comfortable ride, great performance. The UI is a little confusing and somewhat inconsistent with ApplePlay. Fortunately the voice recognition works well!

Great car otherwise, but serious spyware concerns

I'd give the car a 10 if not for their spyware. Hyundai tracks everything you can imagine -- driving habits, acceleration, hard braking, GPS, etc., and while they say they don't share with insurance or law enforcement, given the climate of our country I don't have any confidence in this. Do a reddit search for "Hyundai privacy" to see how much you're actually being surveilled. Also, it's extremely hard to opt-out of these. They Hyundai website is labyrinthian in this regard. And when you do find the opt-outs (there are many), you can only request two at a time. This is obscene.

Longer milage on the range. Only 140 on highway. Suspension could be stronger. Drove Subaru recently and it did a little better on suspension.
