2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 Touring

I purchased my 2013 Genesis Coupe 3.8 in the fall of 2012; the style of the coupe is very attractive as is the interior; power is more than ample; in fact, the torque is so strong that the car spins on gravel all the time and is useless in snow. Road handling is excellent; seats are comfortable and the car is excellent for long distance touring as long as one does not try to drive in snow. Trunk space is adequate for most purposes. The radio reception can be spotty--I live in the mountains and even cell service can be interrupted but was disappointed in the ability of the radio to pick up FM stations; the navigation touch screen is a constant irritant, often failing to respond; actual navigation often is way off the mark; I ended up not using the touch screen very much because it was so "touchy." Other touch switches were difficult to use as well. In spite of these issues, had Hyundai provided awd with the coupe I might have considered getting another one; as it is, I opted for a 2016 Lexus RC 300 F Sport, a car which has less power than the Genesis but which spools up very quickly and is powerful enough to move through traffic quickly; it also has awd; haven't had it long enough to determine how the various options--the model is loaded--work. I had no mechanical problems with the Genesis but did encounter difficulty with the undercarriage cover; the car is so low, it has never met a curb it did not attack; had to replace the undercarriage cover at a cost of over $1,000; there were no front sensors on the car to warn about the curb issue; one should park at least six inches or more from any curb. Visibility to the back is limited due to the coupe styling but if one likes coupes, and I do, then you accept this; back sensors were helpful; no back-up camera on this model. Replaced all four tires at about 26,000 miles--one tends to want to drive this car hard and on mountain roads which are never straight, this takes a toll on tires.

Subtle Elegance

The understated Hyundai Genesis makes an imposing statement through smooth lines and classical stylings. I have consistently received compliments from fellow motorists at gas stations asking with wonderment in their voices: "What is this car?" Fellow Genesis drivers and I share the "thumbs up" sign on the road. Speaking of the road, this unassuming beast provides great comfort during long road trips. I have driven it a number of times from Orlando to Miami and arrived in great comfort. You will not find a better grand touring vehicle.

Great highway cruiser

Without a doubt the Genesis is one great car for the money. This is my second one as my first one was destroyed in a very bad accident. I am alive today because of the design of the Genesis. This along with a host of other reasons is why I bought a second one. One cannot go wrong with this car!

2013 Hyundai Genesis

I really love everything about my Genesis. However, it is very difficult to pair your phone to the Bluetooth. It is very frustrating when you have the buttons to operate the phone but cannot use them because the cell phone will not pair. I have to take the next exit to return calls. In addition, I cannot charge my grandson's DVD player neither. I was told by the dealer not to use it. Incredible!

Best Care Value Bar None!

Before I decided on my Genesis I researched BMW's, Toyota's, Lexus, Lincoln's, even Mercedes under $60K. The Genesis offered FAR more value than any other make. It's a fantastic road trip sedan. I get 26 MPG cruising on the interstate and the automatic cruise control that maintains a specific distance between you and the car in front of you is amazing! I'd buy another Genesis in a second!

Awesome Vehicle!

I really love my Genesis. I traded in my 2006 Acura TL on this vehicle. I loved the TL, but overall, the Genesis wins. There were a few 'tricks' on the TL that the Genesis doesn't have - heated mirrors, display of song titles separate from navigation, individual tire pressures - that I miss, but with 4 heated seats, driver seat cooling, folding mirrors, rearview camera, awesome sound system, etc outweigh those items. The car is very quick and runs on regular grade gas - the TL had to have premium. It's a fantastic trip car, with both front and rear seats being very comfortable. The Genesis is an excellent value for the money and I constantly tell people they should buy one!

Genesis 5.0 Spec

The 2013 Genesis 5.0 spec is a nice car, with some nice features. It has great power, gets fairly good gas mileage, and has very impressive handling. What was good - Power, performance interior, various safety features - (lane departure, rear back up camera, parking/collision assistance).heated and cooling front seats. Road and outside noise control was excellent (very quite) and the overall sound system was outstanding. What was not so good - the cruise control distancing feature should be able to be turned off, the fold in mirrors should automatically fold out when the key is inserted, when wet the trunk drips water into the trunk area when opened, and the stereo head unit seems to have a short life span - when I got into my 3rd year of ownership it would occasionally freeze up on me and I would have to pull the main fuse to reset it. Should have an adjustable ride, as the performance only option was a bit stiff for a luxury vehicle. Overall I was very happy with my Genesis - It was fun to drive, felt very agile, and had all the bells and whistles one would want. I would highly recommend it.

My 2013 Hyundai Genesis driving experience.

I purchased my 2013 Hyundai Genesis new at Capitol Hyundai in Montgomery, AL. The Genesis is an awesome automobile. I am amazed at the power generated from a six cylinder engine. Also, the gas mileage is great. On the Interstate it gets on average 33MPG. In city the average is 20MPG. The Genesis handles and rides great. The power reminds me of the cars I ran drag racing in my younger days. Joe Hall

Best Buy considering the competion

I have a 2013 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 4 door with Premium Package. This car is a gem. I picked this instead of an Infiniti G37 Sedan, Lexus GS, BMW 5 series and Benz Eclass. All those cars are great but I think Hyundai beats them all out in performance, comfort, amenities and value. It's the jack of all. It's refined and has that balance I was looking for. The V6 moves. And the best gas mileage i got driving long distance on cruise control was 41.5 mpg. All that on regular. Cmon that's unheard off nowadays especially for a car with this performace. The handling is great especially with TC off. It'll cut corners not quite like a bimmer but it's not far from it. Steering light and natural without a heavy feel like some competitors. Heated seats a plus. Lexicon stereo crisp. Rear reclining sunshade is a nice touch. I have the chocolate interior and get compliments from everyone. People can't believe how refined this car is and how it's smooth and luxurious in comparison to everything else. I feel like the smart guy who got a car that all the brand snobs want but won't admit that they over payed for their German engineering that starts to break apart after 50,000 miles. To each their own, but I'm cured from that thinking. But many are starting to realize and jump on the bandwagon. It feels good being an early adopter and believing in the Hyundai product. I love the 2015 and looking forward to their new branding of making Genesis their luxury name instead of Hyundai. We are winning together. Lexus, Acura, Infiniti move over. BMW, Benz and Audio watch out. If Hyundai starts making cars to compete with M models and AMG, the Germans will have a serious problem on their hand. Equus is already besting 7 series and S class models in safety and Luxury. Once Genesis becomes a Luxury brand and people start to really take notice, I think they can be one of the best automakers we've seen since Lexus 1st came on the scene.

Hyundai Genesis

I loved this car since I saw it on TV. I had a Sonata and the Sonata came with more features than the Genesis. My Genesis is not the top of the line but it is a upgrade from the Sonata and I have none of the online features the Sonata had. Smartphone packages online to select from is the Sonata to top of the line because once I saw I had none of these features made me want to go back the Sonata

i have been very satisfied with the car.

the car currently has 16000 miles. I have owned it for a little more than two years. I have other cars and I use the Hyundai as my longer trip road car. It serves that role very well.
