My fourth Hyundai since 2013

I like them. They do not handle well in the snow. I have found that out many times trying to drive through the ruts of the unplowed roads. I have probably put on more than 300,000 mi in my car since 2013. My white 2011 Elantra I gave to my oldest Grand niece with 292,000 mi on it.. I just feel in my situation my car is a Target for every Rock or bad car looks heading my way.

Cheapest car I’ve ever owned

Shifting is terrible, does after it’s been sitting awhile. Dealership doesn’t even try to fix it.

Pretty car but not safe!

I was involved in a horrific vehicle accident with my 2024 Hyundai Sonata. Someone rear ended me and pushed me into another vehicle. The airbags did not deploy upon impact. Tore my left rotator cuff. I am still going through therapy treatments due to accident. Doctors told me they do not know how I survived.

Worst car I ever had

Car has a major issue of wind noise when driving. The dealer keeps saying there is nothing wrong with it, even though the sound of the wind inside of the vehicle is very strong and apparent very unsatisfied with the car. I hate it

Save yourself, pick a different brand of vehicle.

Dealing with Hyundai has been utterly exhausting: the dealership, the finance company, the ongoing issues with the (brand new) car. Run to any other brand of vehicle.

Wouldn't buy again

I think this vehicle looks beautiful, that that's where things end for me. It is a weak drive, and noticably has lighter/cheaper parts compared to my old car all the way back in 2011.

Great Car, Over Priced at The Dealer.

This is my second Elantra, I LOVED my first on and would have kept it if it was worth fixing. I wanted a new one because I got a good deal on my first one so I went back to the same dealer I got my first one at. In 2017 i bought the 2017 elantra value edition for 22k which was an amazing price, in 2024, I bought the 2024 Elantr for 28k, the 2024 did not have heated seats but it did come with the hyundai app and remote start so that kinda makes up for not having heated seats. However I do believe that Ideal Hyundai in Fredrick Maryland sold me an overpriced vehicle for the trim I got. The car itself is wonderful, a little under powered but to be expected for an economy car. Also I HATE the CVT transmission, I wish they kept the 6 speed, it was more reliable, cvts are new and i don’t think they will age well, they are weak and prone to fail and it limits the power range of the engine. In conclusion I would buy it again but I would make sure I got a better deal. 25k would have been reasonable, Almost 30k is outrageous.

In a different time and place

My 2024 Elantra, with 13,800 miles, would better serve me if I lived in a more urban locale. Living in a rural community, there are challenges created by the the headlights and wildlife that make me hesitant to drive at night. Couple that with a tick in the valve train (oil is full by dipstick), I’m not sure that I would buy another without changes to the exterior lighting (I.e. driving lights) and possibly an engine upgrade.
