Review of Hyundai Elantra

Gas mileage is incredible -- 48 highway. 36 in town. I previously had a Hyundai Sonata so switching to the smaller car has been an adjustment. I'm frustrated by the lack of space for sunglasses, coins, kleenex etc.

Great for a daily commute

I purchased the 2024 Elantra SEL as a commuter car. The car drives smoothly and gets great gas mileage. There are some unexplained rattle noises in the door panel and a lack of interior cabin storage. Having zero cup holders in the back seat is a big negative… My previous (2010) Elantra had an in-dash storage area and rear cup holders in the back seat. I feel that this was a step backwards in design. While these things are inconvenient, overall I am satisfied with the vehicle. There are many safety features I am happy to have, and for the price, there is a lot of technology included. I’m really hoping the reliability of this car matches that of my previous Elantra. It lasted just shy of 300,000 miles.

Efficient. The best a non-hybrid can be.

Very happy how it slowly sips gas. My base model has all the driver assist safety features also. Everything iI needed. Great job Hyundai!
