Very reliable sporty vechicle

This car was purchased for my daughter to drive back and forth to college. The car was classified as new but was a loaner car for the dealership. It has all the necessary bells and whistles, great on gas, sporty and sleek. I purchased my first Hyundai in October of 1988. The model was an Excel and it was a 1989. I believe Hyundai is a very reliable and reputable auto manufacturer with one unbelievable warranty.

Nothing but issues

Traded a ford focus in on this Hyundai with the impression that I would have a reliable vehicle. It has been nothing but a nightmare! It is currently August & out of this year so far, I’ve only had my vehicle a total of 3.5 months because it’s been in the shop more than it hasn’t. It has been in the shop 5-6 times this year ALONE! Absolutely unacceptable! Truly the worst decision I’ve ever made! Don’t waste your time or your money

Upgrades needed

Even though I enjoy the sporty was of the Elantra, I feel the following 3 items need to be improved. The road noise is still very loud. This needs to be improved. The air flow vents need to cover more area. The car’s pickup really needs improving. Unless you are in Sports Drive, thee e pickup is very poor. The seats need to be as little more spongy. They become hard and uncomfortable on long drives.

Such a great Car with great service! The hwy mileage is better than our hybrid!! 50-60 mpg. Sometimes more. Very efficient engine.
