Finally! A car that gives me no reason to complain! About anything. I have been asked at several locations, gas stations, parking lot, etc, "What kind of car is that? It is beautiful!" The car handles well, us quiet, and very comfortable. And I am discovering or rediscovering new features daily

Genesis GV80 customer experience

I would give a vehicle a five from a rate of 1 to 10 overall for the Genesis GV80. The vehicle could provide a few more standard features for the price. The exterior design is fantastic and brings a more elegant look than average SUVs. It even looks better with a newer model.

I have only one complaint

The low-beam headlights are focused far too low. Above 30 MPH you are overdriving your headlights when on low beam. Overwise, the car is flawless. The minimum character count is ridiculous. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Car issues

On the day I purchased my car the Genesis Connect would not work. It took 26 days to repair. The Idle Stop and Go is not functioning and I was told to keep driving it because it will probably start working soon. It has been over a week and still not functioning.

Total battery failure after 11 months/3923 miles

Total battery failure after 11 months/3923 miles and has been at dealership now for over 31 days waiting for a new battery to arrive. Local dealership and Genesis Corporate (Genesis Care) does not answer phones nor do they return phone calls. Genesis has some serious service issues.

Best Car Ever

Good Service with Excellent Vehicle. When I visited Genesis Dealership, the service was really fast and smooth. It was after 5 pm which was quite late to purchase a car considering financing and trade-in with my old car. However, it was done so fast and I can bring new Genesis on the same day.

GV80 is a beautifully mastered luxury driving vehicle. It is fun to drive and all the driving assistance safety features are added comfort. Dealer could do better

The vehicle itself is nice, but not noticeably better than the the 2021 Lexus RX that it replaced. There are a few glitches with the bluetooth and Apple Car Play connectivity, but those are irritants rather than anything that would keep me from buying another one. The biggest issue that I have noticed is that the lane assist seems to have trouble keeping a straight track, but has a tendency to constantly move from one side to the other - perhaps an alignment issue, but I have not had that checked out yet and with less than 2000 miles on currently and having bought it new, this should not be happening. My experience with the dealer was good up to the point of getting my copy of the signed documents via email (leased vehicle). During our negotiations, I made it very clear we were talking about 12,000 miles per year and that was clear. When signing everything, that had been changed to 10,000 miles without my knowledge, and shame on me for not noticing. I noticed it only after I got my copy via email and I pointed it out right away as I was sure that it was a mistake. It was indeed a mistake - my mistake. Long story short - the dealer will not make good on our deal and if I drive the expected 12,000 miles per year, I'll end up paying $1500 in mileage fees when I turn it in. Not a big deal on a $70,000+ vehicle, but I feel that the dealer was disingenuous at best. Still hoping the dealer will make this right, but I'm now two months into the lease and I have no resolution. Shame on Hyundai and Genesis! No matter how great the vehicle, an honest dealer should be their number one concern.

This car has every feature on it that you can ever think of. It is a safe car to drive and the ride is like floating on air. I get complements on it from strangers seeing me get out of it in the park lot. My car is silver and my husband car is pearl white, We couldn't be happier with our purchases

Poor gas mileage relative to that stated in advertising. May be too soon to evaluate.

Very satisfied with the vehicle. would certainly buy it again. Will need more time to evaluate the gas consumption as I have less than 600 miles on the vehicle. Would like to see the 360 degree camera come on automatically at very low speed. The massage function is over rated. Too much chrome. Difficult to polish the grill to eliminate water spots. Would like to have been able to get black wheels to minimize the chrome. Too much chrome on the sides.

GV80 is all that is advertized

We love the GV80. We had a GV70 but found it too small for us. We are amazed how quiet the cabin is. We also love the heads up display. The look of the exterior and interior is first class. This car is all that we expected it to be and feel it was at a satisfactory price point.

A comfortable, high performing, trustworthy car, a definite keeper.

I bought this car with a creature comfort in mind, and am not dissapointed. The first impression was that the acceleration is so smooth and powerful. I mostly listen to classical music, and I love its wide range of volume from quiet to loud without having to adjust them, and its clarity is amazing. The climate control responds quickly, the air, the seat, and the steering wheel. Finally, the drive assist, notice of the closeness to the next car, the video images keeps me comfortable knowing where I am. I do not like the headrest, which keeps me from straightening my back. Overall, this is a keeper.

The GV80 is the finest car/suv I have ever owned. With over 60 years of diving and having owned many fine automobiles, this is the best. As a retired older person, this suv has brought back the joy of driving. Long trips are fun again with the help of the driver assist, cruise control, controls, power and equipment. I love everything about this car.

The GV80 3.5T Premier is a beautiful SUV with a beautiful exterior and interior finish! The ride is smooth but be prepared for trips to fuel up! The usb port is the larger port and it doesn’t have a foot step—up but that’s minimal for the over-all quality of the vehicle. Over-all, it’s a a great vehicle and I don’t regret the purchase!

My New GV80

I've owned many cars of the years and my GV80 is one of the best ever. Most of the vehicles I've had in the past are in the luxury category and mostly German. The Genesis has one of the best set of features ever and is very responsive to drive and feels tight on the road. The electronics are outstanding and it just looks great. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a luxury SUV.
