Fine for what I came for, but not so good at further info

We usually have good service work done here, but recently I was in for an oil change and inspection, and they found something wrong. Our car is close to the 100,000 miles, so I was concerned about getting it done right away. However, the dealership wasn't able to even tell me if it was covered. Instead I had to find the information myself, even the customer service rep was surprised that they weren't able to tell me anything. So now we'll have to bring the car back for them to check it out and see if it's a warrantable repair, as they call it. It just seems to make sense that the service people at the dealership would know what is and isn't covered under the various warranties.

My service advisor was a really good talker, but I feel like he uses it to his advantage. I had a check engine light on when I picked up the car but not before. After checking my check engine light and telling me it was an O2 sensor code he cleared it and said it was a fluke. After it popped up and I wanted to bring it back he told me to come another day at first. Then he wanted to charge it to my warranty company when I pay a deductible. I brought it in the day after and had to be at work by 3pm. They offered no rental and when I asked the reply was we don’t have any. I was under the impression most dealerships offer courtesy shuttles or rentals when the job takes longer then expected. So I walked home then walked back and had just enough time to pick up my car and rush to work. It didn’t seem to bother them that they inconvenienced me by not taking car of the O2 sensor when he first saw the code. He didn’t want to accept the responsibility and have to fix it for free. Any other customer probably would’ve been out another 250 for the problem that they created. Bad business practice.

Ed V & Christine at Hyundai on grand ave. Chicago IL. I've had my car serviced there since 2011. Have always tried to make sure i was a satisfied customer. Always a pleasant visit with Ed V & Christine. The only con is the struggle in getting/ reserving a loaner vehicle. It sucks !!
P.S I did not have this struggle in the past. My husband is disabled and if we had any place else to go it would be a problem. The issue with my vehicle was the steering column which could not wait for 2 to 3 weeks .

My car has been in the dealership for 7 months, until the last 2 months when I started to call on a regular basis, I had few calls to get updates. I believe the delay could have been from the factory, but I can't guarantee that. The staff were nice, but 7 months were a lot to keep my cool. I am moving to another state, I hope there is no problem when I finally get the car. The person who coordinated my service through Hyundai customer service was very nice and called me weekly at the last 4-8 weeks to make sure that I wasn't forgotten.

better service

i was so dissapointed and not satisfied the brakes pads that they changed it on this location that was 3 or 4 months ago then i went there for change oil and i asked them to check all for my car and they found out need to replace a lot of things i know some of them need to be replaced but the other brakes pads i changed it, now i need to replace them again because there is a sound coming out fr my car.no choice but go and fix the problem in my car and pay fees again.
