2017 rocks.

If you can still find one, buy it now. Ours thrives at 150,000 plus miles with 30 MPG everyday and almost zero repairs. We use it as beekeepers, in rough fields. We haul firewood back to the house. What a deal.

Reliable but not for the first 2 years

There was a parasitic drawer and only service was to replace the battery 3 times. Dealer did not share what the problem was but reliability was questionable every day. Finally corporate got involved and shared the problem and fixed the computer system. They also replaced the battery again a couple of years later with a much stronger battery. Too many jump starts and loss of reliability

Never buy another Subaru

My battery went dead so many times in four years that I lost count. Subaru knew what was happening and id nothing. Finally, owner sued them AND WON. THEN SUBARU FIXED THE PROBLEM. The knew , they knew, they knew what was happening. I plugged my car in every night for four years. Jump started. Cancelled vacations. Spent extra money buying jumpstarter, trickle chargers battery chargers.

Disappointed

Would not recommend. Have had several expensive repairs that were not covered by warranty. Example just spent $700 to replace the drivers seat because the seat material started to rip (started ripping about 4 years ago). I thought I was at fault but turns out this is an issue.

Great Vehicle

I bought my 2017 Outback three years ago after it had been restored to its former good looks (having survived a nasty crash on its driver side front end. It has been a great car for me (no problems - other than the replacement battery) both in summer and winter driving conditions. All the installed accessories have worked successfully (after I learned how to use them) and the six cylinder engine is very "peppy". I am highly impressed with Subaru after having owned a variety of American and foreign makes over the years. I highly recommend them whether new or used - these vehicles seem to last for a long time.

Very unhappy with Williams Subaru and will never do business with them again.

Subaru doesn’t fix anything. Our automatic windows don’t work reliably. Our automatic tailgate seldom works. Our headlights got moisture in them very shortly after we bought the car. Again Subaru didn’t fix them. Took it in many times and now the warranty is not valid. So we are stuck with this piece of poo. I will never by another Subaru.

Very good car, with good gas mileage.

This is the 3rd Subaru we have owned. 1st. A real nice Forester, my wife loved it, we lived in Cle Elam, WA. With a lot of snow. We bought great studded snow tires never got stuck, even plowed snow with the front a couple of times, I’ll bet we could have pealed bark of a tree. Then we bought a motor home and could not dingy tow it, so traded it in for a 5 speed forester, it worked great for dingy towing behind our motor home. Later sold the motor home. The 2017 Outback we now have has around 58,000 miles on it and we live in Northern Idaho now, and have a very good set of studded snow tires for winter driving, just as good as our first Subaru with a lot more comfort and room. We service our Outback as required with Parker Subaru now, they take very good care of our car, which takes great care of us, Thank You Subaru for this great car.

Love it!!

It’s love… it’s a Subaru… and my son sold it to me so it’s extra special. It’s comfortable, peppy, drives/steers so well, hasn’t needed any repairs, just maintenance, reflects everything I want in a car.

Couldn't be happier.

We purchased this car new in 2017. Had it serviced at the dealership until the 100,000 mile warranty was up. They took great care of us. Car now has 122,000 miles and we still love it. 34 miles per gallon and everything still works well.

Many features.

Ultra reliable; no repairs needed in over 80,000 miles. Needs a higher capacity battery and a more comfortable ride over sharp bumps. Has high MPG and planty of power with the 2.5 engine. Safety features are many. Very roomy interior.

Excellent overall

My 2017 Outback has been an excellent vehicle. It has been extremely reliable, but slightly boring for a guy that previously had a Grand Cherokee. That’s not a bad thing though, but it’s more utility than sport.

Love the Subarus

We fell very safe driving our Subaru on all road conditions snow - icy roads. Easy to get around in. Gas mileage is great with the price of gas today. We bought all our Subarus from Parker Subaru They are the greatest.

Great review

I like my Outback. The problem with the Subaru is the oil burning and leaks. I am at over 100,000 and noticed my oil light turned on before it was time for oil change. My understanding is some Subaru’s have problems with oil and the customer needs to be proactive on caring for their Outback.

Great Car

This is the 2nd Subaru Outback my wife has bought, after a recommendation from a friend who also bought a few Subaru Outbacks. She is extremely happy with the car and had no problems over the tears other than replacing a battery.

Excellent vehicle. Designed so that short drivers, tall drivers, or big hefty drivers can comfortably drive this vehicle. Great on long trips- it’s roomy and comfortable. Cargo area is large. I’ve moved heavy loads such as (bricks, furniture) in it with no problems.
