My Tucson

I love my new Tucson with the exception of one thing…..after only 2 months, my wireless phone charger died. I had to waste 3 hours waiting for Service to diagnose whether it was a wiring issue which could be fixed or if it needed to be replaced. As it turned out, it needs to be replaced which means I need to be inconvenienced again and bring my car back to Service when the part comes in.

2025 has a semi manual operating truck door, and front seats.

Summary is the same as above. I have the light cloth interior. I was confidently told of stain resist. NOT SO!

Nice driving but concerning

Car electricity shut off while driving for a millsecond last night. Head lights shut off, dashboard screen went blank...the whole enchilada. Very worrisome.

Love it BUT…

Beautiful and sharp looking. Don’t like the “ buttons “ on the middle arm rest - too easy to hit them. Wish you could turn the auto start off permanently- just ruining the starter in the long run

I think I bought a “Lemon”

After owning my vehicle for one week, the car would not start! I had to have it towed to my Hyundai dealership. The fault was on a module that needed replaced. There was a wait time to get the part because it was new. Then there was a wait time to get the code to install it. The code had to come from Korea! Then everything needed to be reprogrammed. Total wait time for repair was about a month. I was given a loaner vehicle to drive. After bringing it home the Blue Link would not connect with my cell phone app! I called Blue Link and followed all their instructions but to no avail. I took it back to my dealership today thinking it should be a simple fix. WRONG!!! They couldn’t solve the problem and it was escalated to a higher management. So I was sent home once again with a loaner vehicle!

Disappointed in the environmental controls

The environmental controls are not very visible when the sun is bright and I am wearing dark glasses. I can't tell if the blue light indicating if the air conditioning is on or off. Can's see the fan controls, have turned off the A/C when trying to change the fan speed. The blue and red over the driver and passenger temp knobs are quite visible, to bad the rest of the controls are not as visible. Also, menthe brightness cannot be controlled as with the instrument panel. A very poor oversight

Decent car, lousy dealership

This was my second Tucson and it was a nice car. Problem was, I bought after owning a Subaru Forester for several years. The Tucson just didn't feel as solid on the road as the Forester. All the interior stuff is as nice, but I really missed the Forester. Also, it had something off with the accelerator, bucking and surging for the first 15 minutes of driving. Since when has a car needed to be warmed up? 20 years? My friend bought the same car 3 days after I bought mine and hers drove fine. I contacted the dealer by leaving a message on a Service writer's voice mail, I had a "chat" with the lady in the chat bubble, and I made an online service request, stating the problem with the car. Crickets. After a few days I contacted the chat lady again and she assured me someone would get back to me soon. More crickets. I had just spent almost $40k with these guys and no one could spare 3 minutes to say hey we got your message? Unreal. About 7 weeks after I bought it, I traded the Tucson in on a brand new Forester. Felt like I'd come back home. Maybe they can fix the problem. I've still NEVER heard from Escondido Hyundai. Sure hope someone up the food chain a ways sees this and does something about the unbelievably bad follow up at the dealer. I'll certainly never own another Hyundai.

Sleek design, reliability, but lackluster driving experience

Although the design is appealing. I have been disappointed in the lackluster driving experience. I have also struggled with the dashboard features. I believe it should come with a more peppy engine and driving experience as well as more user friendly dashboard features.
