Great car, mileage, and technology

I really love my 2025 Hyundai Tucson. I love the mileage I am getting. It is rated at 35 MPG, but I am averaging 40 MPG. I love being able to monitor, start, and lock the car from the app. I only have two issues: The fingerprint reader is very finicky. The Valet notifications are active all the time, not just when the car is in valet mode.

The best car ever. I love driving it and am learning about all the great features. My first hybrid so learning about the good things about hybrids. A much smoother ride than my 2022 Tucson.

The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid must be the safest vehicle out there.

The Tucson is a comfortable ride even with separate air and heat controls for the driver and passenger. Since it is a hybrid we have saved a great deal on gas. I like the fact that when it is in ECO mode, we are not contributing to air pollution.

Nothing special

Gas mileage is below listed. Drive train developed a bad rumble and vibration they replaced Transfer case and now the 4th visit for the same thing they are replacing the drive coupler. Also replaced the tires and wheels.

Limited Edition - very comfortable when driving I wish the color of the car on screen in camera view was the same color as the I'm driving. its disconcerting seeing on white car on the screen when you have a red car!

Good car with some gear issues

The drive and features of my Hyundai Tucson are great but I've had an instant where the car would start and I can change the gear but the car did not move. I had to get the car towed to a service centre to get it fixed. I've also had issues where my vacant put the car in reverse and the gear goes back to Parking.

Nice features and bad features!

Like the car - the drive, the features and the value. But some of the safety features need to be programmable so you can turn them on and off. Sometimes the safety features actually create a VERY UNSAFE environment.

Nice drive. Mostly nice features.

Nice drive; mostly nice features. Some features are a real drawback - like some of the safety features that cannot be turned off and become a safety HAZARD. For example, the feature to look at your eyes and make sure you are watching the road. Can not see through all sunglasses. I have been driving on the interstate with sunglasses on and all of a sudden the car turns off the cruise control and we start pulling to the side of the road! I will sometimes drive down my 0.2 mile drive way with the back gate open ..... I learned the car actually puts on the brakes and when I got to the house I could smell the hot brakes. These safety features need to be able to turn them on and off - else they become UNSAFE!

A great car with a few niggling quirks.

Overall, I am VERY happy with my Tucson. However, there are a number of annoying nits that lower me to a 4/5. 1- The ability to select dashboard themes is filtered by driving mode. WHY??? 2- The front emergency braking is WAY too harsh and has almost caused an accident twice. It should disable if, for example, I am accelerating. 3- The rear seating door bins are beyond useless. My kids’ water bottles do not even fit. 4- The software updates need to be better vetted. My car has an ECO mode. After the most recent OTA update the menus still say “ECO,” but the dashboard now says “Green.” 5- The manual is incomplete. I was very frustrated to discover that, per the manual, there is no way to open the sunroof shade without also opening the glass. Only after googling did I discover the older Yucson used to have this feature, which apparently works on my car. 6- Why can’t I use the seat memory settings why driving? This is just a stupid feature lockout. While driving I may notice that a different position is more comfortable, but unless I remember to reset my start memory when I stop it is lost. Also, I like having multiple seating positions can I can changes my position on a longer drive. Locking these buttons out prevents me from being able to do this.
