Great in town mileage

Mileage in town averages above the 35:mpg stated. Have had one significant problem with dash lights and information going off while driving.

Eye Sensor

I love my vehicle but I hate the eye sensor on the steering wheel. I believe it is super unsafe for my cruise control to disable because of the sun glasses i’m wearing. If this feature was removed for fixed the car would be a 5/5

If you are looking for a very comfortable smaller SUV that has lots of technology, gets great gas mileage and is actually fun to drive, this SUV is for you.

Fun to drive, easy to learn

I traded in a Honda CR-V for my Tucson Hybrid and haven't looked back. This car is fun to look at, fun to drive, and the technology package is comprehensive and intuitive. I'm averaging 38 mpg, and it's a fun game to play to try and boost my efficiency (on my way home from work--a mostly downhill drive--I average 56 mpg). The engine is ready to serve when I need to hit the gas, and the acceleration is satisfying and smooth--far superior to the CR-V. While the trunk storage is slightly smaller than the CRV, it is perfect for my needs--I can fit three 50 lb bags of chicken feed plus a Costco run in the car with no difficulty. The legroom, front and back, is generous, and the seats are comfortable. I went all in and got ALL the upgrades and I have no regrets--they are awesome. Dollar for dollar this was a better value than the CR-V (including and especially the warrantees) and I am enjoying it so much more.

Has electrical issues, two trips so far to dealer. Part on back order

Part on back order not happy., 8 hours of my time wasted so far. Service department is great, but this isn’t right. I should be compensated for my time and gas. It will be the third trip coming up.

Love this Tucson hybrid!

I am so loving my new Tucson. The ride is smooth & quiet, the steering is agile & smooth, the styling is lovely & trendy, and great gas mileage. I also very much like that this is a hybrid car with lower use of gas and impact to the environment.

Nice car!

I have really enjoyed the Hyundai Tucson. There are many thoughtful features and detailing that make the car a pleasure to drive. It handles well and the screen (infotainment and cluster) are easy to use and read. I appreciate the ability to use regular unleaded gas.

great technology with good value

needs software upgrade as cruse control turns off if warring sunglasses. Parking camera mode should be able to change camera view from rear to front for parking.

Overall really good vehicle, but just short of the best.

Smooth drivetrain. Good performance and ride. Would like better steering feel. It very insulated from the road surface. Steering response, however, is good. Needs a button to turn phone charging off/on. Needs easy way to get navigation to avoid roads when inputting a destination. The nav does not do a good job of taking traffic into account. If I could tell it to avoid the interstate when entering the destination, it would be a huge help. If that is already there, I can't find it and it needs to be more intuitive.

Great tech, MPG questionable

Overall love the car, great tech inside, interior is well thought out and spacious. however, my biggest concern is getting the advertised 35 MPG average. I have to work very hard while driving to get the Hybrid mode initiated to get 35mPG or above. Hoping it is still part of just breaking in the car, but for now I wonder if it will ever be easy to average the 35 MPG

Too many issues to like

I'm incredibly frustrated with the Hyundai Tucson, despite wanting to like it. The ambient light sensor is far too sensitive, causing the headlights to constantly turn on and off. If I drive under a tree or any brief shaded area, the headlights activate and the digital screens dim. During a typical drive, this happens 50-60 times, leading to a distracting and ridiculous cycle of bright-dim-bright. While you can manually turn off the headlights, there's no way to prevent the screens from auto-dimming. It's a simple software fix that Hyundai has overlooked, and the constant flickering is a major annoyance and safety distraction. To make matters worse, the vehicle also experiences an aggressive vibration at speeds over 75 MPH. I took it to the dealership, but they couldn't find a cause for the issue. For these reasons, I would strongly advise against purchasing a Hyundai.

Love my 2025 Tucson Hybrid!

I really enjoy driving my Tucson - it is the first SUV I have owned. One of the things I love the most is all the safety features and alerts.It is also a great looking car. I do not like the air vents - hard to cool off car without blowing right on you. Windows tend to fog up easily So far I am not getting the gas mileage as advertised. Had to tint windows to keep from getting sunburned through front windshield

Great car but some pretty bad engineering blunders.

The car is quiet and powertrain integration is very good. Unfortunately the driver attention warning system is seriously flawed. According to Hyundai, the forward attention warning system gives false alerts if you ware polarized sunglasses because it can't see your eyes. The system is constantly telling me, on long trips, I should consider taking a break which is highly annoying and useless. This should never have been released to public with such an engineering failure. The other big problem I have is the fact that you can't put the car in neutral, turn it off and get out of the car without it going back into park. So much for going to my favorite car wash. And what happens if you need to get towed out of a ditch? The tires are going to just jam and pop across whatever it is your on. I'm sure that's great for the drivetrain. Had I known this I would have never bought this car.
