Santa Fe 60 day review

i am very pleased with my new Santa Fe, especially after the awful 45 day experience with a new 2025 Tucson Limited Hybrid. Thus far the Santa Fe has been problem free and much more fun to drive and comfortable than the Tucson.

Very impressive vehicle.

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.5L with the dual-clutch transmission looks very impressive. Many people confuse it with a Land Rover. The dual-clutch transmission is so smooth that you can't feel the gear changes. Power is better than my Cadillac XT4 Sport.

Best 3rd Row SUV on the market for your money today .

First let me say this is my 2nd Santa Fe ,so I'm pro Hyundai Santa Fe. My first Santa Fe has been great in 5 years of use and over 125000 miles. So 100% the reason I looked at buying another one. At first I wasn't thrilled about the looks of the new refresh 2025 Santa Fe , but had to take one for a test drive ,and was simply wowed by the interior very comfortable, the view out the front is very panoramic its great!! There is only one engine option in the standard gas powered SUV (non-hybrid) which is the 2.5 turbo powered engine and it's go some get up and go, very functional and easy to use touch screen controls which feels like a higher end build quality ,sure feels more luxury, second row is comfortable and spacious, 3rd row is there kinda tight for 2 people but it will be fine on short trips , plenty of storage when 3rd row is down for grocery runs . I did buy the XRT trim which is more of a off road thing ,it tows 4500 and a higher ground clearance and is AWD ,which is what I liked ,but I would not say this is a true off road vehicle. The one thing I don't like is the side view mirrors are to small they need to be larger . There is a lot of technology in the car so it takes time to adjust to that.The one thing my wife said and it's her daily driver is its a car i would just go take for a drive it's a fun comfortable car to drive . Now I can't speak for dependablity and reliability as we only had it about 3 months ,but if it's anything like the 2020 Santa Fe it's going to be fine . It's not the biggest 3rd row SUV on the market , but for the quality and price point for this SUV in this size class it's the the best bang for the buck ,and the Hyundai warranty .

Sleazy Dealership

I would give Hyundai of Kenosha zero stars. They lied to me about my trade in price over the phone by over $7,000. They then tried to force me to take add ons that I didn't want saying there was no way to buy the vehicle without them. (They begrudgingly removed them except for one, a cheap plastic strip that goes on the door edges that they charged $900 for when it is not even $10 in material.) They told me they were selling my trade in to carmax and then 2 weeks later it was for sale at their lot for $86k (2025 Genesis GV80 Coupe E-SC with 5k miles) when they proclaimed they would only get $72k from carmax. Complete liars all around at the dealership. I will never go back and it makes for a very poor look on Hyundai as a brand.

Electrical problems, etc.

Would love the car, except for electrical problems. My phone charger rarely works, and typically for only a few seconds to a minute when it does decide to work. They replaced the part and refuse to replace it again, as "we would likely have to pay for it". But they have tried all they can do they said. And this may be true. Within the first two months I had 7 warnings go off and my car screaming at me to put it back in park. It said I had engine problems, transmission, etc. and said to take it in ASAP. I was and hour and a half from a dealership and had to take my father in for surgery, so that was impossible. The HVAC panel has gone partially black a few times. A window was leaking when I bought it. It had several small scratches on it when I bought it (on one panel between the windows). The parking sensors appear to be delayed now. The seat is now making a jerking (stopping or dropping) when I lower it sometimes (started last week). Some of the wheel wells stuck out and had to be replaced (I didn't notice, but the person working the counter in the service person immediately did and ordered two new parts. They replaced one, saying the other didn't stick out as much, and it didn't. I was okay with that).

Horrible. Last Hyundai

I’ve had the car for two months and been to the service center twice already. And these are not petty issue. One is a spark plug issue where I had to take it in, they told me it was fixed only to pick up the car and had to drop it off again because they didn’t tighten anything. Second one is an electronic issue where no safety feature works. The brakes are even an issue and this happened on the freeway. It’s 2025 consistent issues should not a discussion anymore.

Nice car but questionable brakes.

Car drives very well, except for the brakes on hilly areas. Twice the brakes got hot and caused a vibration with the warring light coming on at the bottom of the hill for a minute.
